It was a console exclusive mode for the whole year and people didn’t enjoy it enough at the time to justify them doing it again. Which, with all the eldritch/zombie-esque maps and themes we saw since then, that’s kinda wack.

Treyarch’s easiest win: Multiplayer Maps in Zombies Survival. I’m not sure why this hasn’t been a topic in the community, but there are over 40 maps in MP that could have perks, PaP, and Mystery Boxes added, as well as random enemies. This would make BO7 infinitely replayable.

People don't realise how insane this is, this is US ONLY too. The other month BO7 had around 4.95 million on Playstation but across a WHOLE month AND Globally. And the BO7 numbers are massively inflated with the amount just logging in not for long for rewards and constant FOMO tactics. These ports are easily on track to outsell BO7, when excluding those who played for free with Game Pass. The ports will definitely take a dent out of MW4's sales but it was clearly a dent Xbox were willing to take when this'll be making them a bunch of money too. Also, what I've just realised is this likely means Call of Duty as a whole, across all games, is probably played more than ANY other video game franchise. Black Ops 2 is #2 in the US on Playstation, with Fortnite at #1 with 16 million players. There are so many COD games released now that if you added up all of the players across all games and all platforms, I really think more people are playing Call of Duty than anything else. Activision needs to take notes from this. They need to capitalise on this and figure out a way to update these games/servers for Xbox and PC too, and potentially look into further upgrades for the games. FOV slider is literally in the backend. Bringing back old gem games and continuing to update them is the play, as long as they don't then get stuffed with Battle Passes and Bundle nonsense. Hopefully more games are in the pipeline. I see the OG MW trilogy being ported for next year too.

It’s always very amusing to me when I notice that the changes Call of Duty makes year to year look so small to the uber normie casual while us hardcore fans find those “small changes” to actually be quite big. I think the changes BO7 did show that. @TheGamingRevo3 Being able to go from console Home Screen to round 1 on a zombies map in like a minute is crazy. That shit is genuinely impossible in newer cods especially at the start and halfway point of a new season when they face fuck you with every MTX the game has to offer

The success of the Black Ops 1 and 2 Ports PROVES that Call of Duty NEEDS to return to simplism for BOTH Multiplayer AND Zombies. Over the years, Call of Duty has rammed in more and more that the games have become so cluttered with nonsense and people are tired of it. In a world that tries to exploit our dopamine receptors, there's a craving from the masses to return to basic, but effective formulas that work and are easy to jump into and understand. Not getting spammed with a million MTX ads when booting up the game, not having a million pop ups, simple gameplay systems, not a million attachments and overlapping features, simple menus that are user friendly and are easy to navigate. MW4 is seeing pushback against it, but ultimately the game will probably still perform decently based on the brand, but I think Sledgehammer's next game will be hurt a lot unless they change the formula, especially if it is just yet *another* modern Call of Duty.
