Why is Netflix getting into hosting podcasters on its platform? Simple. Their real rival is YouTube, which has become the TV for the next generation. Netflix wants to get those viewers into their platform to spill over into distribution for all their shows, movies, and documentaries.

Thanksgiving Traditions! Besides the food, one of my most treasured Thanksgiving traditions in our family is our Goal Setting exercise before the pies are brought out. No one is exempt. If the teen niece brings her 17 year old boyfriend, he has to participate. If my son's girlfriend's parents come, they have to participate! As you can imagine, it's not always a welcome activity! It is very funny when the 9 year old says, "sorry you can't get out of it, just do it - it's easy, really!" From 3 years old to 89... we all participate. For the "regulars", I collect the goals and keep them in binders. We've been doing it since my 25 year old was 3! 22 years of goals in binders! Each year I give them their binders to look at last year's goals to see how they did- and they inevitably start browsing past years and decades and we all laugh at some of the funny inserts, like "brush my teeth"! This year sadly, we won't all be together. As time goes on, people get spread apart. However, that doesn't stop me and my goal setting tradition. I've spent the morning texting all of them their 2025 goals, with instructions to have their 2026 goals sent to me by Friday. Our family "goals" texts are filled with proud exclamations on how they did in the last 11 months! I'm smiling from ear to ear! (#5 below is from my 25yr old when he was 9- he wanted to be famous! Well he's in LA now with a podcast with millions of followers and he is about to be on 500,000 boxes of Cookie Dough Bites- it make have taken him 16 years - but he got is goal! ) SO MUCH FUN!
