We are on a mission to help all Californians and nature thrive together. Also follow: Secretary @WadeCrowfoot #CAnature 🌲🌊🏔️🌴

🌧️ Rain or shine, the work continues. Across California, our crews are actively reducing hazardous fuels through mechanical thinning, prescribed fire, and large-scale pile burning. Why does it matter? When fuels are reduced, if a fire sparks in a treated area, it burns slower and at a lower intensity. That means faster response, more effective containment, and better protection for the homes and communities. Every acre treated today is an investment in a safer, more resilient California tomorrow. 📍 @CALFIRE_ButteCo #ButteCounty #CALFIRE #PrescribedBurns #Wildfires

More boots on the ground. Year-round. Wildfire in California is no longer a seasonal threat; it’s a year-round reality. Our response to that reality includes a sustained investment in full-time firefighter positions across the state. More full-time personnel means more consistently staffed engines, stronger institutional knowledge, and crews that are ready to respond the moment conditions demand it. CAL FIRE Units across California are already bringing new full-time firefighters on board and strengthening the foundation of the state's all-risk response. This is what long-term readiness looks like. @CALFIRELNU #CALFIRE #Firefighter #WildfireReadiness #WildfireResponse #CaliforniaStrong
