During Women’s History Month, it’s important to celebrate the incredible achievements made by some of the groundbreaking women at DWR. Helen Joyce Peters was not only DWR’s first woman engineer but also the fourth woman registered in the entire state of California as a Civil Engineer. She was known statewide, nationally, and internationally as a specialist in ground water hydrology and management and her contributions over her nearly 40-year career with DWR are immeasurable. #WomensHistoryMonth
