The sad thing is that we even share the same validator set
TVL and carry yield is also on Solana…
We have a far greater chance of winning because we are able to offer a superior experience to the current leaders
We solve the execution bottlenecks while accruing value directly to the chain and its stakers
What id like to see the maths of, is how much ‘value’ accrues from;
>100,000 txs on Solana
>15% of $100,000,000 to Stakers
The shortsighted view of txs = king completely kills any innovative approach and bringing value back to the L1
Pushing folks away in favour of a vanilla exchange just because it ticks a box turns friends into enemies. We could take this infra now and drop it in any validator set in the world
Imagine folks like canton and tempo, or any distributed L1 now having an endstate perps experience, all because you chose to repeatedly shun those who valued alignment with you
Wanting a fully native DEX is understandable, alienating everyone else is not

One of the biggest strategic misses of Solana was not getting creative around alignment/support of off-Mainnet builders. Kinda sad that they couldn’t think outside of the imaginary boundaries of “Solana Mainnet” and instead think of Solana as a brand/community that could align projects in different ways. The issue with that thinking was Solana Mainnet was clearly broken to support trading – so good teams built outside those boundaries and are shunned. Silly. Why turn friends into enemies when they clearly value the Solana brand alignment? There’s a world where a creative commercial arrangement would mean that Bulk and Bullet and Pacifica accrue way more revenue and value back to $SOL than anything built on Solana Mainnet. I mean, it’s not like the tiny chain fees are at all significant compared to the exchange/app fees you can capture in an alignment deal. HL proved that. And as a $SOL shareholder, do you really care which SVM validators are achieving consensus if you have a project making your $SOL investment appreciate given a buyback? Nope. Bring it on. I credit this small minded thinking as putting them in the position they are today – and now they have good teams/builders feeling slighted and investors are noticing the division, which is not a good look. If you don’t realize that you need a guy like @kdotcrypto fully in your corner in the perps fight, you deserve the continued situation you are in. You make your own bed. And yeah, if you see any value in aligning with Fogo or @TheHUB , please reach out.

At a time when Solana is fighting on many different battlefields, telling the users and founders of the past 6 years to go elsewhere is not a choice I'd make.
It's still not consensus to bet on Solana. There's a lot of work that needs to be done for user trust, ecosystem growth, and application usage. Things are better than they were before, and have a lot of room to grow. That needs Champions and Missionaries who have ties into the ecosystem.
Ignoring them is where it loses to other chains, in applications, users, and capital.
Simply put - There's a lack of a "we".

Yes, Phoenix is up to 3x cheaper than HL and up to 7x cheaper than Jupiter It's still in baby shoes, so OI and liquidity depth are far from perfect and still solana got perps
