@real_lord_miles They're light weight but the output is quite small, you'll pump so much that the amount of calories required to operate this thing would weight more than bringing a motorized desalinator with extra solar panels. Some sailboat models are quite compact. Run off some ecoflow solar

What I’ll start with is stress testing a manual desalination device. Everyone has taken their fresh water in drums because dragging up water buckets and desalinating it is time and energy expensive, plus unreliable. This thing can slap out of a few mortars, then scoot to a different location. Your design sounds like drone food, that'll jam real quick.

@GarandThumb1 I think the best option is going to be some kind of shotgun or rifle with aim assist. An AI powered camera that detects the drone and releases the shot when it's directly alligned with it. You still do the aiming, but it decides when to shoot. No fancy mechanism required.
