@Valkyrie927 @MakeSunsets @razibkhan Do some homework - it's not amazing ! pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC47…

This is amazing. I just heard about this concept (and this company) while listening to @razibkhan. Historically, large volcanic eruptions have resulted in marginally reduced average global temperature because the sulfur dioxide released to the stratosphere reflects light away from Earth. This technology mimics that process, and it’s surprisingly affordable.

On Earth Day 2025, we deployed four natural latex biodegradable weather balloons with a total payload of 7,200 grams (~15.8 pounds) of sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere. These 4🎈 offset the warming effect of 7,200 metric tons of CO2 for a year. Or another way to put it, we offset the warming effect of 1,565 gas-powered cars for a year. Thanks to all our customers who helped us make Earth a little cooler.

@DaveMattson @MakeSunsets Thanks for sharing this. I subscribed at $30/mo because of your post.
English

The best subscription I've ever bought - @MakeSunsets consistently gets out there to launch their balloons to cool the planet, and provides receipts (both financial and video proof). My personal plan is to keep increasing my subscription to fully offset my family's historical CO2 footprint.
Meanwhile, I'm cheering on the increasing % that renewables have been making, so that some day I can cancel this subscription. I'll treat @ASong408 and the team to a fancy dinner when that day comes.

10 Shocking Stories the Media Buried Today
#10 - Dutch court orders Bill Gates to stand trial over COVID-19 vaccines.
Seven vaccine-injured plaintiffs allege that Bill Gates and others “misled people into taking Covid-19 injections, while they knew or should have known that these injections were not safe and effective.”
The lawsuit also targets former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, and key members of the Dutch government’s COVID response team.
The bombshell came when Gates tried to evade the case by arguing that, as a U.S. citizen, he should not be subject to Dutch legal proceedings.
However, the court ruled that due to Gates’ close connection with other defendants under Dutch jurisdiction, he IS subject to trial in the Netherlands.
Now, Gates and his legal team must confront these serious allegations in court, with a new hearing set for November 27th of this year.

You'll Soon Be Eating Cloned Meat Without Knowing It
“As Health Canada prepares to permit the sale of products derived from animal cloning without mandatory labeling, consumers are poised to lose transparency regarding what they are consuming. The social and moral acceptability of this technology remains highly contentious, underscoring the need for enhanced communication and authentic consultation.”
Imagine savoring a steak from a cloned animal or sipping milk from a cloned cow. Thanks to investigative journalism by @ThomasGerbet of the @CBCNews, this impending reality has come to light, though many agricultural producer groups have not been directly consulted.
@GovCanHealth's recent round of consultations, conducted with minimal public awareness, suggests that these products may soon be available without consumers' knowledge, as there will be no mandatory labeling. The absence of such information on Health Canada's website only adds to the opacity surrounding "cloned products."
The consultation, which concluded on May 25th, focused on updating the "Policy on Foods Derived from Cloned Animals by Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer and Their Progeny." This update proposes that cloned products be exempt from pre-market evaluation under Part B, Title 28 of the Food and Drug Regulations. In contrast, nations like the United States, Japan, and New Zealand...
But what precisely is animal cloning? The process aims to create a genetic replica of an animal by replacing the nucleus of an unfertilized egg with that of a somatic cell from the donor animal, forming an embryo. This embryo is then implanted into a surrogate mother's uterus, where it develops to term.
Artificial insemination, a well-established industry practice, involves collecting sperm from a male and artificially introducing it into a female's reproductive system to facilitate fertilization, preserving genetic variability. Cloning, however, produces genetically identical animals, eliminating this variability.
From a food safety perspective, cloned products do not pose a threat to human health. However, the social and moral acceptability of cloning remains in question. It is doubtful that consumers will unconditionally accept this technology, especially in the absence of labeling. For traditional producers, the integration of cloned products into the market could also taint consumer perceptions across entire categories, particularly meat and dairy.
This situation mirrors the backlash against genetically modified salmon, which faced immediate retail rejection despite being deemed safe. Irrespective of the safety profile, it is crucial to explain the technology and ensure consumers comprehend the rationale and necessity for such practices, both for their benefit and that of the industry.
For the industry, the imperative to amend regulations is less evident. Cloning is an expensive process, and the argument that reduced production costs will translate into lower retail prices for consumers is tenuous at best.
Without mandatory labeling, offering consumers a truly informed choice becomes problematic. We have witnessed similar issues with genetic engineering and GMOs. Health Canada appears poised to embrace technological advancements impacting our agri-food sector without adequately considering consumer rights and preferences.
Quite shameful.

“I got my 6th Covid vaccine today, the batshit crazy conspiracy theorists have told me it’s a gene therapy 😂 that will turn me into one of the Lizard people 🦎. They demand I use invermectin that is actually a horse dewormer 🐎 from a Veterinarian.
Still waiting for the vaccine apocalypse when Bill Gates is going to send me windows updates through 5G cell towers hope I don’t crash on the way home. 😂
I have chosen to believe in the general consensus of medical experts, Doctors and ignore right wing MAGA propaganda that the vaccine is more deadlier than covid because that type of thinking is irrational and outright crazy.
Love vaccines ❤️”

Former Quebec lawyer files class action lawsuit against dozens of politicians and ministers in their private capacity over “safe and effective” messaging about COVID-19 vaccines.
Gloriane Blais, a former Quebec lawyer with more than 20 years of experience and expertise in civil liability and medical malpractice, holds a graduate degree specializing in health law and policies from Sherbrooke University. She was disbarred after speaking out about the COVID-19 vaccines and advocating for her clients.
In a phone interview with The Canadian Independent, Blais said she began expressing concerns on social media in the spring of 2021 about the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines.
In October 2021, Blais says she took on an appeal case for a father who opposed his ex-wife vaccinating their children with the COVID-19 vaccine, a decision that was ultimately ruled in favour of the mother in the lower courts. Blais claims the appeals court refused to hear the case, and shortly after, she was disbarred.
Blais alleges that her outspokenness on social media and her involvement in the father's appeal case is what ultimately led to her disbarment.
She say's that on January 31, 2022, the Bar of Quebec ordered her to undergo a psychiatric evaluation without a hearing, and because she refused, they disbarred her on March 10, 2022.
Despite having her lawyer's license revoked, Blais continues what she describes as “important work” and declares that she is “not crazy.”
On March 27, 2024, Blais filed an application for authorization to launch a class action lawsuit against dozens of current and former politicians and ministers in their private capacities over their messaging about the COVID-19 vaccines being “safe and effective.”
The defendants in their private capacities include Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, former Liberal Ministers of Health Jean-Yves Duclos and Patty Hajdu, current Liberal Minister of Health Mark Holland, Ontario Premier Doug Ford, former Ontario Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Christine Elliott, Premier of Saskatchewan Scott Moe, Premier of Newfoundland Andrew Furey, former Premier of Alberta Jason Kenney, Premier of New Brunswick Blaine Higgs, Premier of Nova Scotia Tim Houston, and dozens of others.
Blais explained that she is suing politicians and ministers in their private capacities to ensure that Canadian taxpayers are not financially burdened and that the politicians and ministers would have to pay out of their own pocket so that past and present elected representatives of the people are held accountable for their "lies."
The class action lawsuit involves a total of 35 named defendants. Blais argues in the lawsuit that the assertion to the public that COVID-19 vaccines were “safe and effective” was a “lie.” She claims that due to their experimental status, the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines were not clearly established.
The Canadian Independent can verify Blais' claim regarding the uncertainty surrounding the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines.
In November 2023, The Canadian Independent obtained the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine contract between the Canadian government and Pfizer through an access to information request. Within the contract, dated October 26, 2020, it states that the "Purchaser further acknowledges that the long-term effects and efficacy of the Vaccine are not currently known and that there may be adverse effects of the Vaccine that are not currently known.”
The extensive 180-page lawsuit filed by Blais includes substantial exhibits pointing to FDA and CDC evaluations of the COVID-19 vaccines’ clinical trial data, along with various other forms of evidence.
Blais mentioned that she has already spent $9,000 to have bailiffs serve the 35 politician and minister defendants across the country, in addition to $2,000 in filing fees, and anticipates continuing to incur fees.
According to Blais, the next step involves a hearing once everyone is finally served, after which a judge will decide whether the class action can move forward.
