@expertinclusion @johnsmithkw7n @PolitlcsGlobal Skip the read herring argument on definition. Doesnt make sense for a Briton of Jordanian descent to call the bloody embassy for such a stupid thing does it? They're at home and have 10,000 more efficient ways of getting that info...

Key takeaways on more Kenyans cashing out pensions earlier after losing their jobs: 1.More than half of the benefits paid by pension schemes last year went to individuals accessing their savings before reaching official retirement age. These individuals, referred to as "leavers" who exited employment due to resignations, redundancy, or company closures, accounted for Sh74.57 billion, or 53 per cent of the total Sh141.76 billion paid by sector players. 2.The amount of money Kenyans cashed out from retirement savings surged by 10 per cent in 2025, pointing to severe difficulties in retaining formal employment amid broader economic pressures. 3.Instead of deferring their savings or transferring them to new schemes, many workers are using these early withdrawals as an immediate survival mechanism to meet their basic needs. 4.Although retirement benefit laws legally permit employees exiting a job to access up to 75 per cent of their retirement savings, 100 per cent of their contribution & 50 per cent of the employer’s matching contribution before retirement age, this heavy reliance on early cash-outs presents a major hurdle for the government’s push to grow overall national savings. It will take a more robust economy for retirement savings to grow.

@bryanodong @shaaka777 The V8 had to be detuned for use in the 70 series. Leaf spring suspension, high centre of gravity and big power are not a good combination.

@expertinclusion @PolitlcsGlobal These are all british. I replayed the calls in my head with a british accent and they just seemed so plausible 😆😆. No other group (except the one that colonized half the world in their queens name) would be so stupidly entitled...

@inglorious_bat @KibayaInTrouble Im questioning it like any sane person would. Statistics are supposed to be consumed within a context. Before you cminfer higher population growth have youbaccounted for higher infant mortality for instance. A complete picture needs to be painted

@inglorious_bat @KibayaInTrouble This is a fabrication in my opinion. A birth rate that high would need commensurate increases in medical services, educational facilities, food consumption and energy consumption.

Segun Agbaje, the Group CEO of GTCO, on why GTCO is not interested in expanding to South Africa. He says South Africa is a mature market. All South African companies making money are making it from Nigeria. He cannot go to SA to make money while they're coming here.

Omondi Tunya was a disgrace to the legal profession and the judiciary. Read here how he jailed a cleric for writing in his diary that Moi killed Ouko. A diary that was never published. But to Martha Koome, Omondi had a distinguished career. We will not allow history to be revised
Lempaa Soyinka@LempaaSuyinka

I saw @CJMarthaKoome showering encomiums of this character. I remember when I was in primary & secondary schools this guy was always in the news doing Moi's bids . He left the judiciary ignominiously in 2003 & history will always remember him & Tuiyot the rabid Nakuru magistrate

@NdemoKelvin The minimum fare will distort incentives. Every cab driver will opt for short trips because the effective cost per km becomes higher for any trip below the threshold. They ought tonhave adjusted the rates per km or revised the commission

Yes, Thailand's continuing integration with the Chinese supply chain (and Chinese working methods) is why growth will be better than in the last 10-15 years. The moment I see Marubeni or Itochu or other trading companies in emails and quotations, I instinctively prefer Chinese (and European) suppliers. Even the Europeans are more responsive. Some people wonder why Japan can't compete with China, given Japan's IQ, education system, engineering knowledge and existing supply chain. Try dealing with a Japanese industrial company, and you'll understand.
