No appeal to the better senses of this BJP Government is going to get any reversal for #KeepDisabilityPensionTaxFree. The only tool available to affected veterans of the Indian Military & their well wishers is to use their vote well in the elections 2029. The courts will not help

Sir while everyone is talking about oil, there will be other (possibly more long term) effects. To take just one commodity, the supply chain of Helium is disrupted. This will have impact on everything from chip manufacturing (not much direct impact on India, but there will be second order effects) to the medical field (MRI scanners use Helium for cooling). Even as far as oil goes, at least we have strategic reserves…how about countries (including some developed ones) who don’t.

Vikram K. Doraiswami, currently High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom, appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the People's Republic of China, an official announcement said today. Doraiswami, who took Mandarin language training in Beijing in his early career, never got posted to China thereafter, if memory serves me right. Now, he heads there in what is arguably a crucial phase of India-China relationship. P. Kumaran, currently Secy (East) will likely succeed him in London. Other important postings also likely in the neighbourhood soon

I can’t tell you how happy I am to hear this. In addition to others, Colonel Prasad Bansod of @adgpi needs to be *thanked*. *Thank you* Bansod. I genuinely believe that the defence innovation problem in the country would be solved if the *services* start thanking the innovators, rather than the innovators - in service or outside - having to thank the services (for permissions, for hearing the idea out, for orders, for research grants…for just an ‘audience’).
