Sad news tonight…. A great friend, mentor, and PIO for the @PlanoPoliceDept for many years passed away. Many in the news media and North Texas will recognize David Tilley. We spent a lot of time together at conferences and with the @NorthTXPIO Group over the many years while I worked at @ArlingtonPD. We all learned a lot from David. May you rest in peace. Prayers for his wife Whitney and kids.

I wanted to take a minute and thank my team for attending the #IACP2024 Conference. We made a commitment in 2022 to start expanding our networking base and caliber of executive level training opportunities. We now send our Strategic Comms Team to both @TheIACP and National Information Officers Association @nioa annual conferences. We also send members of executive command staff to IACP and TPCA, in addition to regional opportunities across our state. Assistant Chief @ryount387 represented our team well in Boston. @WSPDTX Corporal Laura Gonzalez is our team lead for the comms group and made several invaluable relationships during this trip, in addition to attending some amazing workshops. Detective Geovanny Ramirez represented our team with his experience at Flock Safety and our license plate reader team. My wife @zhicook did a great job representing and highlighting Texas Police Chiefs Association during the conference. Safe travels to everyone who are headed back to their respective jurisdictions!

Our Communications team is one of the best in the state. The Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) awarded them first-place for “Best Social Media Campaign (Planned)” for their work on NRH’s 70th Anniversary campaign (2023). Join us in congratulating them!

@andymstone Still experiencing the issue, as are others. Get asked to confirm 2 factor details. Tryong to request code via Whatsapp or Text results in a "We can't send a code at the moment. Please try again in a few minutes".

Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have difficulty accessing some of our services. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Hey @facebook, any idea why some of us are still unable to access accounts? My 2FA isn’t working and the same code keeps coming to email which your system tells me is wrong. This morning, it’s simply saying it can’t process my request.

@andymstone How about a solution or a contact for those of us who STILL can’t access our accounts and are stuck in an endless loop of codes that don’t work? Pretty troublesome for those who are gov media managers and have to use our personal accounts.
