Dear @GovernmentZA , when do you plan to apply the Protection of Constitutional Democracy Against Terrorist and Related Activities Act? The law clearly states that planning, inciting, supporting or even encouraging the overthrow of a democratically elected government AND the kidnapping of a president, is unlawful. Messaging a foreign power to do so is unlawful, even on social media. There are South Africans actively lobbying for a national security crime - kidnapping of @CyrilRamaphosa AND overthrowing a Constitutional order. This law applies to ALL South Africans, at home and abroad. It is also not limited to violent attacks - violence does not have to occur but incitement, support and facilitation thresholds have clearly been met. This is not a joke or some social media mischief. Social media is a powerful platform on which violence is performed and initiated. Will you act?
