The #M5 in #Somerset is closed southbound between J22 #Edithmead and J23 #Puriton due to a traffic collision. All emergency services are on scene dealing. There are currently no delays against expected travel times.

@HighwaysSWEST @lock_ange My husband has been stuck since 0930, going south there was no signage to say the M5 was closed. Highways have really messed up the handling of this situation.

@HighwaysSWEST Is there any chance, anytime soon, you’re going to get this sorted and get traffic moving again? One accident should not render this much chaos. And stop lying about the congestion time!! People are telling you they’ve been stuck 4-6 hours and you continue to lie!!

@HighwaysSWEST Well you should check again as they have not moved at all. So cars are not able to leave the motorway at jct 22. It’s not good enough, there is no attempt to help all the drivers stuck.
