Dear Catholic Converts! First and foremost, WELCOME. HOME! The below post prompted me to reply to him, but I wanted to quote it with my same thoughts to share for ALL! The one MAJOR thing missing from his post is Vocation or calling. We are NOT called to just sit in the pews, pray the Rosary, listen to Catholic Apologetics, or read the Bible or church fathers or other self centered acts. We can relate all of Sin to selfishness and that is the wall Jesus was trying to tear down! Want to know what you can do? Be in service to your local Parish! Here are some ideas... Join the choir. If you're a woman, join the CCW. If you're a man, join the Knights of Columbus. Have a knack for decorating, join Arts and Environment. Join the Ushers. Become a Eucharistic Minister that goes to the Hospitals. Become a Catechist and teach the Faith. (We have certified curriculum so you don't need to be a 10 year Theologian!) There is so much you can do for the Catholic church, but it starta with you going to your Pastor and saying FOUR words! "How can I help?" Repost and spread. #CatholicTwitter #CatholicX

STOP what you're doing and take this in. This man is a Muslim cleric in the United States. “Having s*x with a nine-year-old girl, if she can get pregnant, is not considered s*xual harassment and is permissible in Islam.” This is a religious justification for pedophilia, being preached openly in America. REPOST for widespread exposure! #thinblueline #lawenforcement

Self-proclaimed “former Catholic” now believes in a God who doesn’t bother telling people where they’re going for eternity after they’re judged. He doesn’t know anything about God if he thinks God won’t make that perfectly clear.

@CatechismTony @Cr7Godbrand All of those things are because of gender equality and feminism. Every single one. This world is still terrible, yes, but is safer than it ever has been for women especially, and people live longer. That is not a coincidence

"And when first translated "worship" was used [describes how "worship" is used by people who speak English in 2026 A.D.]" I understand why some Catholic apologists tried to pretend "worship" had a narrower meaning that it does when they were being persecuted by the government for worshiping Mary But we have freedom of religion now. You don't have to pretend that "worship" has some narrower meaning that no one who uses English understand it to mean Just say that since "worship," as used in 2026 A.D., unambiguously includes dulia, that you worship Mary, as almost every Christian on Earth did for 1,500 years, & stop pretending it means anything else And don't forget how you lied about what I said at your next confession

Are Evangelicals dishonest or just low-IQ? St. Alphonsus didn’t write in English, but Italian: “Io vi venero”: “I venerate thee”. And when first translated, “worship” was used to include Latria AND Dulia. Typical Evangelical: thinks everything was written last week in English.

A simple Google search disproves this, but Evangelicals aren’t exactly known for their ability to research. 🤣

@NintendoAmerica If this is a the "BIG" anticipated announcement, then I suspect there will be a lot of disappointed people. Many are hoping for a new 3D world like Odyssey... Maybe later today would be an announcement, but I'm not holding my breath.

@JesusSaves1500, As you can read in all of the Grok posts above, you fall within the same group that walked away as you describe... I hope and pray that the Grok posts illuminate your heart and mind to understand why our Eucharist is so important and why so many Eucharistic Miracles keep happening in the Catholic Church.

Transubstantiation is the Catholic doctrine explaining how, during the Mass, the bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Their inner "substance" (what they fundamentally are) changes completely into Christ, while everything we can sense—their appearance, taste, texture—remains exactly like bread and wine. The prayer you quoted is the epiclesis: it asks the Holy Spirit to make that change happen, fulfilling Jesus' words "This is my body... this is my blood" at the Last Supper. It's not symbolic—Catholics believe it's real, by faith.

@grok Can you explain in simple terms what is Transubstantiation? Especially when understanding that during a Catholic Mass the Priest will invoke the words, "Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall, so that they may become for us the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ."...

Yes, that's a foundational Catholic interpretation. In John 6:35-58, Jesus' Bread of Life discourse uses explicit language—"eat my flesh and drink my blood" for eternal life—that directly prepares for and foreshadows the Last Supper, where He institutes the Eucharist (Mt 26:26-28; Lk 22:19-20) as the sacrament of His Real Presence. The early Church (Ignatius, Justin Martyr) understood it literally, not symbolically, preserving this belief unbroken for 2,000 years amid persecution.

Yes, as the eternal Son of God (Jn 1:1-3; 5:19-20), Jesus shares the Father's full divine knowledge and sees the entire timeline of salvation—past, present, and future—in perfect union with the Father's will (Jn 6:38; 17:4-5). His repeated foreshadowing of the Passion (e.g., the "hour," the serpent, the grain of wheat) reveals this eternal perspective, even as His humanity experiences time progressively. This is the mystery of the hypostatic union.

@grok So when Jesus foreshadows something, could we "the reader" safely come to the conclusion that Jesus (being God) was in full constant view of the timeline being upheld by the Father's Will and thus could see the true events of the past, present, and future at any given moment?

In John's Gospel, Jesus foreshadows His death at least a dozen times (direct, via "lifted up"/"hour"/"little while," scriptural allusions like the serpent, or parables like the grain of wheat). Key examples: 2:19 (temple), 3:14 (serpent), 6:51 (flesh given), 8:28 & 12:32 (lifted up), 10:17-18 (lay down life), 12:7 (burial), 12:23-24 (grain dies), plus many in chs 12-17. This highlights the centrality of His sacrificial mission.

Yes, that's historically accurate for the 2nd century (and rumors building in the late 1st). Pagan Romans slandered Christians as cannibals and incestuous for their "secret" Eucharistic meals—misunderstanding "eat my flesh, drink my blood" (Jn 6) as literal human consumption. Justin Martyr directly refuted it in his First Apology (c. 155 AD), clarifying the consecrated bread/wine become Christ's flesh/blood for spiritual nourishment, not common food. Similar defenses from Athenagoras and Tertullian. These accusations incited mobs and justified persecutions alongside refusals of emperor worship. The belief in Real Presence traces to the earliest Church.

I remember seeing a video some years ago where an Imam was demonstrating how a man is "supposed" to beat his wife. He showed shoves, firm taps on the arm or should, the two finger poke on the head, and the common shake her into submission. Yeah, they might want to read St. Paul's description of Love a few times over. 😉

A Palestinian doctor at the Islamic University of Gaza advises Palestinian husbands not to seriously injure their wives, break their bones, or damage vital organs. He states that men have a right and duty to beat their wives, but “Wife-beating should be therapeutic, not vindictive.” Where are the white liberal women fighting for these women's rights? Oh yeah, I forgot they hate Trump more.
