Dear Catholic Converts! First and foremost, WELCOME. HOME! The below post prompted me to reply to him, but I wanted to quote it with my same thoughts to share for ALL! The one MAJOR thing missing from his post is Vocation or calling. We are NOT called to just sit in the pews, pray the Rosary, listen to Catholic Apologetics, or read the Bible or church fathers or other self centered acts. We can relate all of Sin to selfishness and that is the wall Jesus was trying to tear down! Want to know what you can do? Be in service to your local Parish! Here are some ideas... Join the choir. If you're a woman, join the CCW. If you're a man, join the Knights of Columbus. Have a knack for decorating, join Arts and Environment. Join the Ushers. Become a Eucharistic Minister that goes to the Hospitals. Become a Catechist and teach the Faith. (We have certified curriculum so you don't need to be a 10 year Theologian!) There is so much you can do for the Catholic church, but it starta with you going to your Pastor and saying FOUR words! "How can I help?" Repost and spread. #CatholicTwitter #CatholicX

And now the same can be said for you because you are parroting common Protestant Rhetoric because you don't see the real truth... Jesus could have stopped them because many times he rephrased parables to "teach another way", but this time he did not. Luke 22 as in the image below: "I have earnestly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer;" "earnestly desired" = I have been waiting for this moment. Why? You want to read something that will blow your mind... Go and read up on "The Fourth Cup" by former Protestant Scott Hahn a.co/d/0ihI27PA Because each time Jesus used His supernatural ability to "Speak and it happens" has been important moments of revelation. He enacted the 7 Sacraments. They were not man made by the Apostles nor the later Bishops and Priests. Now we return to my original point. Everything that is in Catholicism is elevated complexity of your version of Christianity. It takes TRUE Faith to believe in the 7 Sacraments. This entire conversation has demonstrated that YOU DON'T HAVE IT because you willfully don't want to pursue it. You think you are "good enough" but when you realize that you never were, I pray it is not too late for your sake.

It’s always the exact same argument with you all. Haven’t you figured out that there are responses to this already? Jesus tells the apostles the words he speaks are spirit and life. People walk away not because they have a proper understanding but refuse, but rather because they misunderstand and do not seek the truth.

No it doesn’t. Last I checked John 3:16 didn’t say “for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believes the priest transforms the substance the bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus under the appearance of bread and wine shall not Parrish but have everlasting life”

@BaptistClips @ReformedToRome No one said he didn't... But people who like to lie about His Church will have a lot of seating in Purgatory. We are all praying for y'all to let go of that Hate and Arrogance that is keeping you locked out of Heaven though.

No they are not. Transubstantiation is the doctrine that the priest calls down Jesus transforming the substance of the bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus under the appearance of bread and wine. Real presence can refer to any practice of material or spiritual presence of Jesus in the elements.

This is objectively false and directly contradicted by the Catechism. “Since the initiative belongs to God in the order of grace, no one can merit the initial grace of forgiveness and justification.” (CCC 2010) “No one can merit the grace which is at the origin of conversion.” (CCC 2027) “The grace of Christ is the gratuitous gift that God makes to us of his own life.” (CCC 1999) Catholicism does not teach “save yourself.” It teaches that salvation is entirely initiated by God’s grace through Christ, and that Christians must cooperate with the grace they receive. AND… that cooperation is all by God’s grace. Patrick is a liar, was never Catholic, and has no clue what he is talking about. Yet, charges people hundreds of dollars for people to hear is uneducated opinion. Protestantism is a circus.

@CatechismTony @BishopJaxi Where is the faith of the infant who you baptize? Faith in God does not mean affirming the maximalist version of any given doctrine. I reject transubstantiation, however I do not reject real presence.

@BishopJaxi I take Gods word. You take the catechism which is just like the Talmud and Mishna. This is exactly what Jesus confronted when he came the first time. The temple built their own kingdom just like the rcc.

"when we respond with faith we receive grace" What do you think we are doing at EVERY Mass when we partake in the Holy Eucharist. It is a LEAP of Faith that we believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the bread and wine. What "outward sign" of a leap of Faith fo you take at your church?

What you are doing is separating the cause and its effect and calling them two different things. If works are required to receive grace then it is not grace, the work is meritorious. In the actual gospel grace comes before any work, we are invited by the Holy Spirit and when we respond with faith we receive grace. From then on we live out that faith through the good works God has established for us, but these works are not necessary to receive more grace. We do not do them for gain, we do them out of love for God and his creation.

The apostles wrote the Bible. Your Roman institution later recognized the canon, then spent centuries adding a mountain of unbiblical trash on top of it. Protestants didn’t say the Church is unnecessary. We said your corrupt, power-hungry Roman version became unnecessary the moment it perverted the Gospel and elevated itself above Scripture.

Sins are our selfish actions or AKA wrongs we commit against God... My question about Human Arrogance is about a poison that we all have to purge out of ourselves through Love and Humility. With you and so many others attacking Catholic Church, do you see the Arrogance in attacking a 2,000 year old Church that has been guided by the Holy Spirit through the institution of 7 Sacraments that Jesus Himself started?

@CatechismTony @MrCasey62 No but it doesn't have to because scripture makes it clear Jesus paid for all sins past, present and future. Salvation and justification is a 1 time event when a believer puts their faith in Christ alone.

Without the lies, Protestantism dies. He tries to cover himself with the word “essentially” because even HE knows he can’t show ANYWHERE that the Catholic Church has ever taught this.

The Official Definition of THE GOSPEL (Straight from Paul): 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved… For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures…” How strange! I see nothing about Mary, pope, priests, statues, scapulars, relics, rosary beads, monstrances, holy water, etc. 🧐

@MrCasey62 The Roman Catholics dont trust Jesus entirely for salvation they think they can lose it, have to re-earn it with confession, think they have to go to mass to maintain it, in Catholicism Jesus didn't say "it is finished" he said "I did some of it but now you have to do your bit"

The sheriff in Butler County honored a young man who was NOT about to let a dude get away with robbing an elderly woman! Check this out. The guy running out of the store just swiped a purse from an 83 year old lady. This kid caught up to him and LAID THE SMACK DOWN. Not only did the good guy not get arrested... he got HONORED. If this happened in NYC, the kid would have been the one charged. #thinblueline #lawenforcement

@dav9_just @MrCasey62 @CorrieJanse @grok One example? It’s such a core practice? I have read the bible back to back many times and can say I have studied maybe 10% of it over 15 years. It’s not there. Not one righteous person. You should read the Bible. You will see so for yourself.

Odds in his favor... 2:1 - He never even was Catholic and just says this to "seem" credible, all the while he pulls up AI drivel to warp into his posts against Catholicism. 10:1 - He was a good little Catholic, got married, divorced, and can no longer take the Eucharist because the Church won't grant him an annulment.

He proves every day he doesn’t understand Catholicism NOW. So there’s NO reason to believe he ever understood it THEN. This is not a flex.
