@KimJongBettman@ryanwhitney6 This game has nothing to do with Skinner, Flyers were simply the better team tonight. Woulda been worse had Skinner not been on his game
Imagine you had to choose your life at age 40:

Private jet.
Option B:

Fly Southwest.
Be honest, which life are you choosing?
@EdmOilerlytics@troybeck@JoshYohe_PGH Pens didn’t make this trade because they thought skinner was an upgrade. They made it to dump an awful jarry contract, and somehow ended up with a 2nd too.
And pens D > oilers D, and while thats not saying much, that’s all that’s relevant. Both goalies’ numbers prove it.
@troybeck@JoshYohe_PGH Does mean a lot haha. Letting high danger chances against while being a defender on the ice usually isn’t a good thing. Hope that’s helps.
Hope he can turn it around though.
He’s 4-4-0.
I’m sorry for the Pens fanbase when they find out Skinner wasn’t a great goalie because he couldn’t string together some good games, but rather bi polar with consistency.
@JaggedDagger_@Sports1440@JoshYohe_PGH@JasonGregor Pittsburgh won the deal with flying colors. They wanted to dump jarrys awful contract. They did that without retaining ANY salary somehow, and for a 2nd back. Pgh has 3 young goalies that need to play. They don’t want skinner back, they were forced to take him back
"I know Edmonton fans don't want to hear this but generally in the biggest games he wilted. When he did play in the playoffs he was terrible... he always let you down in the end."
@JoshYohe_PGH with the scouting report on Tristan Jarry on The @JasonGregor Show.
Brought to you by @LegacyHCYeg.
@OilersJack lol there’s a ton more. Why are we acting like this was a goalie swap? This was the pens shedding a contract they regretted, and somehow gaining a 2nd without having to retain salary. Skinner wasn’t desired back, but Edmonton made the pens take him. Pens have 3 young goalies now
Comparing the Stats on Skinner to Jarry:
Overall Save %: Jarry
Slot Save %: Jarry
Close game Save %: Jarry
High Danger Save %: Jarry
GSAx: Jarry
PK Save%: Jarry
5v5 Save%: Jarry
Anything else?
Any team in the NHL, including Edmonton, could have had Tristan Jarry for free last year. Just taken him.
Edmonton gave up three things, including a second-round pick, to get him now.
Wild.
@MattyLui@CanadianPens@GinoHard_ This is a dumb question…this was a salary dump by pens and pens were forced to take back skinner. Pens goal was to move a bad contract to allow the 3 young promising goalies to play, and to get a pick. Pens got exactly what they wanted somehow w/out retaining any salary
@CanadianPens@GinoHard_ Oilers needed a new goalie, watching Skinner in net was tough. He repeatedly got pulled in playoff games.
I hope both teams win the trade but I am glad the Oilers made a move.
@Blitz_Burgh Cut Russ, Keep Fields, renegotiate his contract
If he wants to start for the Steelers. 4 PRO- Bowlers everybody else is competing for a job. Forget Aaron Rodgers he's same boat as Russ. Get Devante Adams though. Retool OL, cut Broderick Jones too.
I’m shocked how blunt Tomlin was about Justin Fields being in the pole position to being a starter for the Steelers in 2025. Let’s see what happens. #Steelers#NFL
@ChadTalotta@Rate_the_Refs I think maybe it's because there are 2 kicker fouls, roughing the kicker and running into the kicker which is a 5 ys loss and no personal foul.
@JosephMoney73 I still don’t see why it matters. Agree it was before. But a similar personal foul - roughing the kicker- is ALWAYS after the kick and the kicking team still retains possession. How is it different? Why does it matter whether it was before the kick?
