So according to FICAC using a public company’s commercial arrangement with an airline to pay for your wife’s travel is not a criminal offence even when the wife is not an employee. I feel the lawyers in Fiji have all lost touch with common sense.

Robert Jenrick appoached me four months ago about the possibility of joining Reform. Between then and now I've got to know a formidable and deeply thoughtful man. It's been a privilege to have played a small part in this historic moment. Mission accomplished.

@ColinBrazierTV Tack to the centre? Is someone not a journalist doing your social media? Jenrick started in the centre with occasional property-zoning oscillations around the bank of the pornographer Desmond.

Let nothing distract from the fact that Conservatism lost one of its brightest stars today. Jenrick was a stellar performer on MSM, admirably refusing to tack to the centre when others would have. He also made the political weather with his (now, much-mimicked) guerrilla videos.

Robert Jenrick was in Tory shadow cabinet yesterday afternoon with Kemi Badenoch and all his fellow senior Tories. 4-5pm-ish in Parliament. Was chipping in thoughts on the party's foreign policy strategy, calling for a more "isolationist" approach per a source in the room. No inkling of what was about to explode in public. Jenrick also was joined the Tory away day last week including the dinner. The location? A room overlooking the Tower of London. 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛

@DirtyEffinHippy @AlaskaAir Why are you getting on a plane? If you're known to have seizures...... That's kind of selfish wouldn't you say.. I wonder how many birthdays or last glances or business opportunities were missed because of that flight being delayed....selfish

To anybody that was on @AlaskaAir flight 503 today, I AM SO SORRY and I hope you were able to make your connecting flights. I had grand mal seizure and wasn’t responsive. Massive thank you to the Alaska crew and the paramedic team that treated me with kindness and dignity. You genuinely saved my life 🙏💜

@KelissaRay30078 @pseudofijian Noone in the ODPP had an adverse finding against them. That's why COI Report leaves charging decision for those nine named to Police and ODPP. One of Forwood's complaints against Malimali has already been investigated and dismissed by Police and ODPP.

@pseudofijian Exactly! It’s a serious conflict of interest. Those implicated shouldn’t be anywhere near decisions linked to the COI. Fiji deserves better governance.

Read the front page of Fiji Sun today. My question is, how are officers of ODPP who have been implicated in and have adverse findings against themselves supposed to make charging decisions stemming from the COI?

@pseudofijian There are no members of the ODPP who have had adverse findings against them in the COI Report. Read the report.

@FijianIndex Same with Aiyaz, see FICAC press release September 19 2024. The whole reason there was all the hoohaa about social media comments by DPP lawyers was because the prosecution was by the DPP.

@FijianIndex Are you sure FICAC ever charged Bainimarama? There's a FICAC press release dated April 25 this year saying they closed the complaint and would take no action against Bainimarama which looked at the allegation he was still leader of FF in spite of his March 2024 conviction.

And just like that just coz Kamikamica has been charged, FICAC is problematic again. The same people had no issue when FICAC was charging Frank and ASK. If sumone did nothing wrong then there is nothing to worry about and just coz someone resigned doesn’t mean they cant be guilty

No. It’s not a crime for the Leader of the Opposition to criticise the Government over the COI report, even while it’s under multiple legal attacks. Using bogus legal threats to silence critics was what the last government did. We’re not going back to that😡

@pseudofijian The madness was paying Ashton-Lewis, whose CV is riddled with nonsense and fantasy, AUD10,000 - AUD15,000 per day plus expenses and allowance for circa 120 days work to create such a nonsense COI Report.

NEW: Kremlin officials publicly acknowledged that Russia seeks the “complete destruction” of Ukraine, indicating Moscow’s disinterest in good faith peace negotiations and a near-term resolution to the war. Ukraine struck the Kerch Strait Bridge on June 3 for the third time since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Western officials and open-source analysts continue to clarify the battlefield damage following the Ukrainian long-range drone strike series (Operation Spider Web) on June 1. Russia continues to produce and stockpile missiles and drones to strike Ukraine, demonstrating Russia's continued commitment to winning the war through military means. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced a series of Ukrainian military command changes on June 3. Ukrainian forces recently advanced in Kursk Oblast. Russian forces recently advanced near Kurakhove.

Kemi Badenoch says that if we reinstate universal winter fuel allowance, we don’t have a system to claw it back from the very wealthiest. Err, we do. It’s called more progressive taxation #bbclaurak

@T2Rugby Maybe the sponsorship arrangements with EK, and those value in kind flights for players, officials and officials, play a role in determining where this takes place

Dubai wasn't a good venue last time. Zero fans f course plus the pitch cut up and couldn't take scrums. The best venue imo is the RWC host. There might be a small ground in Australia that would take it. Or change format so games have home teams. x.com/AsieRugby/stat…

@alexelbourne42 It's like watching Air Crash Investigations and seeing pilots were too reliant on automated systems because they had no pilot skills see AF447, DL4819 etc. I understand why some might want the shortcut but if everyone uses it are we actually even debating, talking, communicating?

@alexelbourne42 Autocorrect and AI are as similar as automatic transmission and driverless cars. They're not. One corrects and advises, the other generates opinions, admonitions, condemnations that may or may not be connected to what the originator had in mind.

Why is it such an issue if people use AI to write posts on social media? Many of us just don't have enough of a command of English to express ourselves adequately. AI is just another tool like autocorrect. If it helps someone communicate their point better isnt that a good thing?
