I am suspending Indiana's gas tax to provide Hoosiers relief from the pain at the pump from high gas prices.  I'm calling on gasoline retailers to pass these savings directly on to consumers, and we will be monitoring to ensure they do. I've called on the Attorney General to enforce protections from price gouging by retailers.

There’s no good reason for the Senate not to pass the SAVE America Act. Most Americans want it passed!

Did you know that not a single person was charged or convicted under the federal crime of insurrection for January 6? The Department of Justice brought over a thousand cases—and not one under the insurrection statute. They used other charges like obstruction and seditious conspiracy instead. Yet in Virginia, politicians are moving to require teachers to label January 6 an “insurrection” in the classroom. Think about that. The government can’t—or won’t—prove insurrection in court, but it can require teachers to declare it as fact to students. That’s not education. That’s the government prescribing a conclusion. When the state tells teachers what they must say—and discourages neutral or competing explanations—that raises serious concerns about compelled speech and ideological conformity in our schools.

Wow. My grandfather was a farmer. The state turned much of his farm into an interstate. It destroyed him to see it happen. My fondest memories with my grandparents were milking cows by hand, churning butter, shucking corn with the family and chasing chickens. Our food was pure and healthy. You can't eat a data center.
