Actual transsexuals need to take back our medical condition and kick out the fetishists. I’ve spent a great deal of my adult life undergoing painful procedures to undo the damage of puberty so I can be myself. I find it deeply offensive someone can paint their fingernails and claim to be the same thing.

We accused them--again rightly--of shameful callousness and of polluting public discourse and coarsening social life.
