These games are preseason/bye weeks for major programs. The SEC playing one of those games before rivalry week was genius. ESPN doesn’t like it because their inventory that week sucks.

The Pirates are 8-3 when Carmen Mlodzinski pitches. And Bubba Chandler leads the National League in walks. And has the 2nd most losses of any pitcher. What’s the argument for Mlodzinski going to the bullpen other than he’s done it before? He’s been better than Chandler.

Wow Greg Brown just called out Don Kelly about the 8th inning decision to use Dotel for a 3rd straight inning. He implied that since Kelly was ejected, the bench coach & pitching coach decided to use Dotel instead of Lawrence. More evidence that Don Kelly has cost this team wins.

If you think pitchers like Keller are easy to find and he should be traded. I would respectfully disagree. Dylan Cease got 210 M over 7 yrs. That is 30 million a year. Pirates have a steal with Keller making 16.5 million.

The wrong conference got killed. If the Pac-12 still existed today, there wouldn't be the Big Ten and SEC breakaway stuff since it would also include the Pac-12 and ACC. But since that got killed, now market forces lead to the top ACC brands going P2.
