@Resnick_Media Love the Gustafsson pick. Kuehne could also be a solid 3rd pair defensive defenseman if he hits his ceiling. The #Isles got hemmed in their own zone a lot this past season, so Darche seemed to prioritize big, physical defenders who can neutralize plays in the neutral zone.

Overall, a solid draft from Mathieu Darche. He landed one of the draft’s top defensive defensemen in Malte Gustafsson, added two right-shot defensemen in Kuehne and Dravecky, and selected Matyuk and Cowan, who both posted solid numbers last season. #Isles #NHLDraft
