Last week, @LACOFD joined us for a 96-hour exercise simulating a 7.9M earthquake response - testing rescue, medical care, logistics & coordination. Interoperability & preparedness aren’t just goals. They’re a commitment we train for every day. @ffxfirerescue @USForeignAssist

This #EMSWeek, let’s show some love to the EMTs and Paramedics who define what it means to be professional out of hospital health care providers. I’m humbled to work with them everyday. Fire based EMS.

Through these trainings and deployments with @StateDept following disasters overseas, @VATF1 & @LACOFD hone skills they can use to save American lives when disasters strike here at home.

This week, @StateDept staff observed urban search and rescue training exercises led by @VATF1 and @LACOFD. Following disasters, the new Bureau for Disaster and Humanitarian Response can activate USAR teams from Fairfax and Los Angeles Counties to deploy worldwide within hours.

Our FFs responded to a second-alarm fire in Co26’s area. Contained the fire to a single structure and prevented extension to a nearby school, avoiding significant damage and disruption. Reflects discipline, training, and professionalism our members bring to each call, every day.

On Sunday at 3:21pm #FCFRD responded to the 6300 blk of Beryl Rd in Lincolnia for a report of fire coming from an elementary school. Crews arrived to fire and heavy smoke coming from the rear of Bren Mar Elementary School. 2nd alarm was called. Fire is out. No injuries. @fcpsnews
