#FairfaxBravest responded this afternoon to a house fire in the 5900 block of Dewey Dr. Crews arrived with heavy smoke and fire in the basement extending to the attic. Multiple occupants were out prior to #FCFRD arrival. No injuries. Cause under investigation.

USA-01 continues USAR operations in #Venezuela. Working inside collapsed structures is demanding work. Rescuers navigate extremely tight, unstable void spaces to safely reach survivors. moves are deliberate, balancing speed w/ the structural integrity of the building. @StateDept

Canines rapidly narrow large collapse sites to focused search zones here in Venezuela. Once they alert, we utilize acoustic devices and search cameras, all working together to find survivors. Every resource. Every skill. @StateDept @USForeignAssist @ffxfirerescue

Today, members of USA-01, working alongside local firefighters, rescued a mother & her nine-month-old baby from a collapsed structure. Both were found alive with only minor injuries, brought to safety to the cheers of neighbors. This is our why: the delivery of hope. @StateDept
