FACT: I made 11 urgent calls requesting National Guard support on Jan 6, starting at 12:58 PM. Approval was withheld for 71 minutes by the House Sergeant at Arms, who reported directly to Speaker Pelosi. She caused critical delays, and now is shifting blame to @realDonaldTrump for failures she helped create. The record is clear.

.@SpeakerPelosi: "On January 6th...we begged the president of the United States to send in the National Guard. He would not do it...And yet, in a contra-constitutional way, he has sent the National Guard into California. Something is very wrong with this picture."

Congress just installed a 'Grateful Congress' plaque honoring officers from 19+ agencies who responded on Jan 6. As Capitol Police Chief, I activated mutual aid at 12:55 pm—just minutes after the breach—calling in MPD (Asst. Chief Jeffrey Carroll), Virginia State Police, USSS, USPP, MWAA, FBI, and agencies from as far as New Jersey. I even reached the DC National Guard Commander. All while the House Sergeant at Arms repeatedly denied my requests for resources—the same official who rejected my advance request on January 3. Phone records, sworn testimony, and congressional reports confirm it. The irony? They're thanking the exact response I coordinated—while I was removed within hours of securing the Capitol. I will always be grateful to those agencies and officers who answered the call. The official record tells the full story. @SpeakerJohnson @RepBarryLoudermilk @RepBryanSteil @RepJoeMorelle @RepNormaTorres @SenThomTillis

Federal law required the Jan 6 plaque to be hung on Capitol grounds by March 2023 It has not been. (MORE)

@ChiefSund The fact that there has been zero consequences for Pelosi on down is utterly pathetic.

POLITICS NEEDS TO STAY OUT OF SECURITY For nearly a month, Congress has failed to fully fund @DHSgov, putting critical programs at @CISAgov—intelligence sharing, cyber defense, infrastructure protection—at risk. In the past 12 days, the U.S. has faced multiple attacks: •Austin, TX – March 1 – terrorist related mass shooting •New York City – March 7 – terrorist bombing attempt •Old Dominion University – March 12 – ISIS inspired campus targeted attack •Temple Israel, MI – March 12 – synagogue terrorist attack •Stryker Corporation – March 12 – Iranian-linked cyberattack on medical system used by 1st Responders and Hospitals. Our first responders show up every day. Congress must do the same. Fund homeland security now. @SenGaryPeters @SenJoshHawley @RepBennieThompson @SenSchumer @RepJohnKatko @FBI @MarkWarner @SenateGOP @SenateDems #HomelandSecurity #DHS #NationalSecurity #FirstResponders #CyberSecurity

February 5, 1997 @ 3:00 a.m, As a lieutenant with the DC Police, I found myself sprinting from the Fourth District station in Washington, D.C., alongside Lt. Mario Patrizio, responding to the call every cop dreads: “Officer down.” One block away, Master Patrol Officer Brian T. Gibson, just 27 years old, sat in full uniform at a traffic light on Georgia Ave. He was ambushed and murdered without warning by a man determined to kill the first police officer he saw. Several of us tried to save Brian, quickly placing him in a police car to rush him to MedStar. However, he would soon pass away, surrounded by his mother and father. Less than a decade later, one of the officers who fought to save him that night—Sgt. Gerald Burke Jr.—would also die in the line of duty. Brian’s funeral remains the hardest I’ve ever attended. Every overpass. Every intersection. Silent crowds honoring a fallen officer. And yet, from unimaginable loss came extraordinary grace. Brian’s mother, Shirley Gibson, opened her home every Thanksgiving to feed police officers and first responders—turning grief into service, and loss into legacy. A tradition that lasted decades. Today, remember MPO Brian Gibson. And if you can, thank a first responder. Stay safe. 🇺🇸👮‍♂️🙏

ALCON…God is wonderful. He put me in position to retire honorably from the federal government after I left the United States Capitol Police so I could speak the truth about events I witnessed during and after J6. Now that I’m no longer a federal employee I do NOT have to adhere to the Hatch Act of 1939. Stay tuned patriots and God bless. Tarik K Johnson Former Lieutenant US Capitol Police

@HanneBlaze64 Every suspicious device must be treated as real. The Jan. 6 pipe bombs demanded significant law enforcement resources—resources that were urgently needed elsewhere that day.

@ChiefSund @RepLoudermilk Chief, Where is the lawsuit to get your benefits back? The ones that stripped of your benefits were the same that denied the National Guard How is this possible to stand?
