At NIO’s user face-to-face event in Wuhan, the company revealed the rollout plan for its 5th-generation battery swap stations: internal test stations will launch in late March, 5–10 pioneer stations in May–June, and large-scale deployment starting in July–August. The progress toward its 2026 target of 1,000 new stations is 8.5%. The 5th-gen station offers ultra-fast swapping in as little as 1 minute and 48 seconds, with 21–28 battery slots and a daily capacity of up to 500 vehicles.
