Goodbye Dad ! I have been silent for close to two weeks, away from the world, processing the devastating loss of my dearest father. This morning, we lay our everything to rest. I had the privilege of caring for my darling all his life and, most importantly, as he took his last breath. Greatest privilege of my life as your daughter, Papa !!!

Zambians to celebrate 🙌🏾🇿🇲 Monica Musonda, founder and CEO of Java Foods, is one of Zambia’s most respected business leaders. Her journey from corporate law to food manufacturing is often described as bold—but when you listen to her speak, what stands out most is honesty. She does not romanticise entrepreneurship. She tells it as it is. This article brings together a few of her most impactful quotes from her many interviews woven into the story of how she thinks about business, leadership and failure. 1. Leaving Comfort to Build Purpose: Monica Musonda has often explained that entrepreneurship was not an escape, but a calling. “I did not leave law because I hated it; I left because I felt called to build something bigger.” 2. She has also been clear that passion alone is not enough. “Entrepreneurship is not glamorous. It is hard, lonely, and full of setbacks.” For her, purpose must be matched with endurance. “You must be prepared to stay the course long after the excitement has worn off.” 3. On Failure, Fear, and Resilience. Java Foods’ success today hides the reality of how close the company came to collapse. “There were many moments when Java Foods could have failed, and we came very close.” Instead of denying fear, she acknowledges it. “Courage is not the absence of fear; it is continuing despite it.” Failure, she insists, is not the enemy. “Failure is part of the journey. What matters is how quickly you learn and adapt.” And resilience is not dramatic—it is repetitive. “Resilience is waking up every day and choosing not to quit.” Monica Musonda’s words reflect a leader who understands both vision and sacrifice. Her story is not just about Java Foods—it is about what is possible when discipline, courage, and long-term thinking come together. “Building something meaningful takes time, patience, and an unshakable belief in the mission.” Photo and Write up credit: UZA Daily Facebook.

Wrapping up 2025 with a shout to Zambians in the diaspora! In 2024, you sent K8.8 billion home to your families—twice the 2024 CDF budget. By June 2025, you already sent K5.1 billion. Quietly fighting poverty from afar—true heroes! Be safe! Much love! #Zambia #nodignityinpoverty

I am deeply honored to share that I have been selected as one of only 13 scholars worldwide for the highly prestigious and competitive Nuffield International Scholarship 2026🇿🇲✨ This milestone builds directly on my Masters in agribusiness research and passion for agricultural transformation, and it represents a powerful next step in strengthening my expertise, leadership, and global leverage in shaping farmer-centered agricultural systems. Through this global program, I will travel across leading agricultural nations, engage with top researchers, industry leaders, policy experts, and innovators expanding my technical depth, strategic thinking, and international influence. My research will focus on: The Impact of Market Structures and Information Gaps on Smallholder Farmers’ Prices and Bargaining Power. This is more than research it is a mission to create fairer markets, stronger farmer bargaining power, informed decision-making, and improved livelihoods for smallholders in Zambia, Africa, and around the world. Honored. Empowered. Ready to turn knowledge into global impact. be

I read each edition of Braunwald from first page to last page. Also cover every edition of Davidson and the first volume of Harrison religiously. I want books, need to underline and make some markings here and there, only then I will be satisfied. I don’t like e-books, may be I am an old edition myself😁.

Physiological Truths About Men Who Treat Their Birthdays Like a Normal Day 1. They’re used to doing life alone. From childhood, nobody really made a big deal out of their special moments — so they learned not to expect anything. 2. They’re naturally low-maintenance. Gifts, parties, noise — it’s never been their thing. Peace is their real celebration. 3. They pour into others more than they receive. They’re the “strong one,” the one everyone calls… but when it’s their turn, they don’t want to feel like a burden. 4. They’ve learned to make themselves happy. A quiet meal, a prayer, a moment alone — it’s enough. They’re used to creating their own joy. 5. They measure life in progress, not dates. To them, a new year is not about cake 🎂 it’s about whether they’ve grown, improved, or achieved.
