Two BBC programs last night painted a contrasting picture about mobility. #COVID19 hit aviation and Jumbo Jets were sold as scrap. Whereas European cities are harnessing tragic pandemic for a radical modal shift. New jobs arise from bike production and repair to local tourism.

£525 a month including bills to rent a 15smq unit. We have the nationally described space standard in the planning system to stop these units. But the Government has CHOSEN to exempt conversion of shops to resi from the legit scrutiny. #PlanningReform #planningforthefuture

Boris Johnson says "newt counting" is the cause of slow building in the UK. According to the Conservative Party's own detailed analysis, that is, I'm afraid, bollocks

@SKinnock Time to take tough actions against #CCP. Economic sanction is a good start. Sick of CCP's human violations in China & bullying of other countries. We don't need bloodstained Chinese goods. Plus, we want jobs & goods back to UK & Europe after #COVID19 #BoycottChineseProduct

On 1 July 1997 Hong Kong and China transitioned to the unique ‘one country two systems’ arrangement. 1 July 2020 marks the end of one country two systems. This is a tragedy for the people of Hong Kong, & serious challenge to the int’l rules-based order. bbc.com/news/world-asi…

@lisanandy e.g. How can we afford begging China again for PPE, ventilators, masks for respected NHS when the Govt has been ignoring the beauty of Made in UK by working class? Plus, allowing #CCPChina backed firms like Huawei into infrastructures like 5G, HS2 will risk long-term security

The events of recent days are the latest attempt by China to erode the Joint Declaration and undermine protected freedoms in Hong Kong. The Foreign Secretary must come to Parliament next week and provide assurances that the UK will not let these actions go unchallenged

Breaking: @DominicRaab tells China that unless it suspends plans for new security laws in Hong Kong, the UK will give greater visa rights to 300,000+ British National (Overseas) passport holders. Current right to 6 mths in Britain without visa would be increased to 12 mths.
