@250_Revolution And they wanted to ensure you paid income tax on transactions as low as $600 Some how they missed government checks going to foreign (middle eastern named) people in excess of 200k at a time, after 911. After we started whole agencies to stop “terrorism”

@miranowhere @Billybinz56 We live in a country that strictly enforces not having plant life on the bottom of your boat going from one lake to another because it could spread evasive species, but we look at the absolute worst cultures worldwide and invite them here, then pay them not to work.

@MetamateDaz Natures inclination is for humans to not live. It’s our job as humans to overcome that inclination. You have two options face her directly by surviving solo, or work within society to survive. Where you choose to live is nearly as important as how you choose to live.

You’re born onto a planet you never asked to exist on… and society immediately hits you with: “Okay, now go earn the right to eat, sleep, rest, and have shelter.” Like… zoom out for a second. We’re floating on a rock in infinite space and we created a game where you have to spend most of your life working just to not starve or freeze to death. The whole concept is actually insane when you think about it.

You reduce crime by eliminating poverty. The reason so called nice neighborhoods have lower crime rates is because people’s basic needs are being met. It is not because of police, alarm systems, or neighborhood associations. Poverty creates crime.

@TheBrancaShow @OrevaZSN Maine has some of the poorest counties in the nation. At the same time historically, and currently lowest crime rates. Maines economy suffered a major reduction in industry 60 years ago causing a massive statewide recession. Crime creates poverty. Not the other way around.

@OrevaZSN No. The wealthiest top 1% blacks in America commit crime at the same rates as the poorest sub-poverty level whites. Poverty does not drive crime. Culture drives crime.

On our way to Bangor, Maine for a rally with @grahamformaine. The crises facing our country are too serious for establishment politics and tinkering around the edges. We need candidates like Graham who will take on the greed of the oligarchs and deliver for working families.

Socialism seeks out capital, to consume and destroy. Notice that he feels owning a productive enterprise is "hoarding". He just wants to liquidate the business to provide food for a day.

Never before in history have billionaires existed at this scale. Billionaires hoard wealth that could solve hunger, housing, and healthcare crises; their existence is not a sign of success but of selfishness and systemic failure.

TIM DILLON on why college grads are booing technology: "if you're graduating college today, you grew up in a time when there is a very good chance technology, on the whole, made your life worse" "they've watched it radicalize their parents, they've watched their friends get addicted to porn. They've watched it radicalize other members of their society" "They've watched their friends make mistakes on it, then those mistakes get dragged out later in their life, and online vicious mobs come for them" "These kids have grown up in a world... [where]... they have seen a tremendous amount of negatives from technology" "The CEOs of these [Big Tech] companies have not. They have not" "But if you're graduating college today, you grew up in a time when there is a very good chance technology, on the whole, made your life worse. It made your friends' [lives] worse" "[But] if you don't embrace it, there's nothing we can do" "It's just treated as an inevitability on a level that is deeply uncomfortable to a lot of people" "Especially [for] these kids that are graduating. They're going into the real world" "Most of them have student debt, and most of them have grown up in a world where technology has not made everything that much better" @TimJDillon

@newstart_2024 The bell curve and gender is still an accurate description of reality, it’s dismissed because it’s uncomfortable . For the same reason IQ across the board is a boogeyman for the race baiting woke left. Reality is uncomfortable. Pattern recognition is uncomfortable

Jordan Peterson dropped an uncomfortable truth on Triggernometry. The U.S. military that is desperate for recruits won’t accept anyone with an IQ under 82. That’s roughly 10% of the population. They’ve tested this for decades and found these individuals become a net drain, no matter how hard they work. In complex environments, the disadvantage is real. This lines up with ASVAB data. The military generally requires the 31st percentile (~IQ 92) but can dip to the 10th percentile (~IQ 81-83) in limited cases, confirming Peterson’s core point. Conservatives struggle with it. Liberals often claim anyone can be trained to do anything. Both approaches fall short. This one made me pause. We talk a lot about equality, but raw cognitive differences create real limits that are hard to solve. Ignoring or sugarcoating these realities doesn’t help the people at the lower end, it leaves them without practical paths forward. Do you think society can have an honest conversation about IQ differences, or is it too dangerous?

@guyfelicella We had an issue in Bangor where the homeless were watching porn at the library and literally pleasing themselves in public, there’s also open drug use on the steps going into the local library. The general public has a right to public spaces that they support, without a sideshow

If a homeless person is using the library because they have nowhere else to go, and they aren’t bothering anyone, they should be allowed to use that public service like everyone else. Libraries are one of the last public spaces where people can exist without being expected to buy something. Access to warmth, safety, washrooms, internet, knowledge, and human connection shouldn’t depend on whether you have an address. Being homeless is not a crime. Existing in public while poor should not be treated like one either. Full Stop 🛑

@Adamental2 When I was a young kid small towns in Maine still had improvised street dances, where whole neighborhoods would shut down a dead end road, post up BBQ and coolers and literally dance the night away just for fun. One of my neighbors regularly hosted softball games at his house.

Are there people out there who have been around since the 80s or 90s or prior who honestly think that the world is a better place now than it was back then? My kids are all teenagers, oldest turns 20 this year, and they think that it’s all in my head and that every generation thinks the time they grew up and was the best and that it’s just not true I’m not going to sit here and do a detailed comparison analysis, I’m just wondering if anyone out there who remembers those decades actually regards the world as progressing in the right direction ie that the world has become a better place since then? And if so, what drugs are they on? 😂
