@boyfailbstrivin @tomhwilliams23 Uruguay is too small to host a World Cup on its own. Hosting in Uruguay and Argentina would have represented the first World Cup final and homage to the Rioplatnese style created by both in the early years of their countries football
English

@ChristofFurness @tomhwilliams23 it should've been uruguay alone, maybe a few matches in argentina but this was meant to be uruguay's tournament
English

@am_na @tomhwilliams23 The only advantage will be is it’ll be winter World Cup hence better quality
English

@ChristofFurness @tomhwilliams23 I can't wait for the Saudi world cup. Just because it will be nice to have all the games in one country / close to each other
English

@Tommy_Oldham1 Tbf finishing 2nd would be a lot more favourable
English

Matchday England V Ghana my first game of the tournament Come on England no screws up let's get the done job and ease our way into the Knockout stages. #Englandaway #worldcup

English

@KwasiKepler @tomhwilliams23 The Bombnaro and the Montumental are going through renovations I am sure
English

@LordArseneSaka @tomhwilliams23 I think you’ll find the fans prefer those old stadiums the World Cup. The Centenario, Estadio Monumental and the Bombanaro will be up to standard for sure and there are plenty others around Argentina will too. Nowadays it is about who pays the most these days
English

@ChristofFurness @tomhwilliams23 They are too broke to host a World Cup they have old stadiums that are not World Cup standard
English

@PlusEV The question should be - is the USA the best team that calls it soccer of all time
English

@OverEHill The US will struggle when they hit the last 16 if they get there.
English

@ChristofFurness I said that elsewhere the other day a new name adds a big if magic to it.
English

@Tommy_Oldham1 Tbf I hope they a nation who hasn’t won it before wins it, I think that would be good for the tournament
English

@Tommy_Oldham1 Japan are a dark horse for sure but how far they get without Mitoma I don’t know
English

@ChristofFurness They are far from exciting to be fair if anything the Japan team has a little more about them going into the tournament as a potential underdog shame they are missing Kaoru Mitoma.
English

@Tommy_Oldham1 I don’t think they look stronger on paper Van Dijk at his peak performance may improve it a lot but it just doesn’t excite you like the great Dutch team did - the Brazil team does the same
English

@Tim_Vickery question for you are Brazil starting a decline in producing great players? They produce lots of good players but not lots of top top level players like other generations. Is it players going to Europe too early and get into a more European production path? Thoughts?
English

@EthanOAFC @maxrushden @AlanCarr2061903 Queensy Menig put it passed Raya in the BP game deep into stoppage time also
English

@ChristofFurness @maxrushden @AlanCarr2061903 was this the game you were talking about ? Didn’t know David Raya was playing for Blackburn then 😳
English

@maxrushden another slight fact check for Barry on the pod there are 2 ex Oldham players in the Haiti team Jonny Placide (the Haitian Higuita) and Duckens Nazon who play 2 past David Raya in a 2-2 draw at Ewood Park in 2018 #oafc
