Few weeks ago, Microsoft starts taking Windows seriously again and listening to feedback. Today, Google announces Google Book...a high-end chromebook with support from all major OEMs.

And yet my iPhone Pro Max insists on focusing on the dirty window when I’m flying or on a train.

@astro_reid @Astro_Christina How did you keep the iPhone from focusing on the dust on the inside of the window? Every single time I see something out of my airplane window my iPhone 17 Pro Max insists on auto focusing on the window and not the object in the distance.

Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

@zacbowden The Copilot Surface 7 is a pretty good windows laptop but all that AI optimised, 'NPU enabled features' was complete nonsense. Anyone tried Recall let alone used it?

For those curious, new Surface PCs are coming this spring. So wait a few more weeks if you were thinking about buying a current gen model.

Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command. It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards. The YouTube TV and Disney blackout is a real time case study in subscriber economics. If Disney’s streaming products saw a major spike this weekend when ESPN and ABC went dark (almost guaranteed), it’s frustrating for viewers (including me) but a smart strategic move by Disney. It’s about conversion. The real question is whether those cohorts stay once YouTube TV restores access or churn back just as fast. Three questions worth asking: 1) What was YouTube TV’s daily churn change compared to baseline during the blackout period? 2) How many Disney streaming activations align with the moment content like ESPN, ABC, etc. disappeared? 3) What do the 30 and 90-day retention curves look like for those blackout acquired users? If retention holds, Disney just proved that programming disputes can double as low CAC acquisition events. If not, it’s another expensive reminder that sports rights still control the funnel.
