An Open Letter to Dr. Erica Schwartz, CDC director nominee: Ma’am, I watched your testimony the other day. I watched you laugh when the “safe and effective” line came up. As a paramedic with decades on the job, I don’t deal in BS theater. I deal with reality on the ambulance cot every shift. These last few years have been a straight up nightmare. I’m seeing sudden cardiac events, strokes, aggressive cancers in younger patients, record numbers of sepsis, unusual seizures and more aortic dissections than ever before… these aggressive patterns I didn’t see prior to the COVID shots, at this scale. Just before writing this I ran another stroke call. I see the common threads across hundreds of calls since the mandates rolled out. When you laughed, it wasn’t abstract. It wasn’t funny haha… It was a slap that landed on the face of every patient we’ve coded, every grandparent we’ve transported, every young person now facing life and death health struggles they shouldn’t. Frontline medics like me are connecting the obvious dots while too many in charge seem bound and determined not to. We’ve become a nation hesitant to ask the hard questions if it threatens the pharmaceutical narrative. You may think the script holds. But the evidence is walking into every ER in America. It’s difficult to fathom that we went along with govt labeling people and jobs “essential” or “non-essential,” as if the trajectory of Covid would change because the virus would understand some jobs were “essential.” Just like the virus would supposedly travel 5’11” and then suddenly drop to the ground so as not to infect someone standing exactly 6’ away. Same with being convinced or forced to get an experimental medicine that didn’t do what they promised (prevent infection, spread, or illness), but caused plenty of side effects known and still unknown. Same with being prevented from getting the treatments and health care that we and some of our doctors recommend. Meantime, Dr. Fauci, Nancy Pelosi, and so many others exempted themselves from the rules and showed they didn’t believe any of what they were forcing the peasants to do. Classic Let Them Eat Cake. In retrospect, what could we the people have done about all of it, considering the great control they had over our jobs, censorship/media, access to health care, travel, education, and most everything else? Surely people who grouped together to oppose in a meaningful way would have been jailed or worse. We haven’t even held the medical associations and establishment accountable for going along with and letting this nightmare happen. Individual doctors spoke out and broke away at great personal peril, but the core system remains intact today.
