We are expanding access to AI education for children, parents, and teachers, starting with two new tools designed for Nigeria’s diverse communities. As we developed the AI Literacy Curriculum, it was clear to us that you cannot teach AI with complex language, foreign frameworks, or inaccessible materials. Real learning happens when resources are simple, visual, local, and shaped by the people who will use them. So we designed this entire project with teachers, students, parents, persons with disabilities, curriculum experts, and government partners. Their insights shaped every chapter, every definition, and every illustration. To support younger learners, we created AI Literacy Flashcards that break down ideas like data, algorithms, and bias into clear, child-friendly visuals. Alongside them, a new storybook introduces AI through relatable characters and everyday experiences, planting early lessons about curiosity, safety, and responsible use. These tools give children an early entry point into AI understanding long before they encounter structured classroom lessons. We are also producing a multilingual community drama series on Artificial Intelligence in Yoruba, Pidgin, and English because our communities learn through stories, shared conversations, and cultural connection. Weekly episodes are already airing across Osun and Kwara States, with every episode available on YouTube and Spotify for mobile-first learners. This work reflects our mission of inclusive education, safe learning environments, and community-driven innovation. We are committed to ensuring that understanding AI becomes a basic skill for every young person and not a privilege for a few. We are grateful to the @PJMFdn for enabling this vision and supporting the development of these groundbreaking AI literacy tools for everyday people.
