Btw stuff like this is why I do not buy that culture has remotely turned “anti-family.” Previous generations did not have baby-friendly movie screenings, mommy & me yoga, kids menus. Even changing tables are shockingly new. We have more accommodations for parents than ever.

I lived in NYC Brooklyn for 12 years. I think I got carded every single time I sat down at a restaurant at a bar because the legal penalties in New York City are so insanely stringent. This is an East Coast "not a democrat I'm a journalist" apparently texting a 15-year-old about not getting carded at any restaurant in Times Square. The Bulwark has become more parodied than Salon.

Technically this doesn't apply to me- I was invited to one. But perhaps my own bachelorette party was more damning. In attendance were my brother and my husband, my two best friends, and then 5 girls I barely knew because I only had two friends.
