@peter69hc @PLtheLegend No "unfair advantage" other than wiping off 94% of the debt, meaning far more headroom for spending under SCMP because those debts aren't being serviced you mean? The -15 wasn't a punishment. It was to redress that imbalance against the other L1 clubs that pay their bills.

@PLtheLegend What unfair advantage do Wednesday gain? The only reason we would have been punished is because we hadn’t paid the former owner who put us into administration. Not gained any unfair advantage at all… #swfc

The EFL board waived the -15 against Sheffield Wednesday due to Dejphon Chansiri's refusal to engage with offers on his debt as the only major creditor. Offers were either outright refused or ignored, and on this basis the EFL ruled the -15 was not to be applied. #swfc

@Turk_S8 @DaleJohnsonBBC If you want to explain where the £80m to Chansiri in the Begbies numbers came from, and then where the £60m for the ground went, then I'm all ears. My cards are on the table. Where are yours?

@Turk_S8 @DaleJohnsonBBC Look at your own books mate. He was owed £80m anyway. And then there was the dodgy £60m from the ground sale to himself. I know maths is difficult but come on...

@scottch24 @gcxb After everything, a Wednesday fan talking about how another club has to "live within it's means" is PEAK IRONY.

@Lukescalesmtwm Exactly. The -15 is a redress for otherwise having a significant financial advantage NEXT season by being able to wipe out 75%+ of their debt, leaving them headroom under SCMP. The EFL have basically ruled that Owners should accept even less than 25%. Because.

@garbutt_da81105 @DaleJohnsonBBC Pumped near on £150m into the club over a decade. Nearly got them promoted twice. And actually promoted twice. Dodgy deal to sell the ground to himself for over inflated value to avoid FFP. No complaining about him then, but deserves nothing yeah?

@SheffieldStar - as your editor is often quiet on Twitter, how about a response from the newspaper account instead?

@StarClaire01 in relation to the recent "article" on your website here: thestar.co.uk/sport/sport-op… I've got a few factual corrections for you, ones that i hoped would have been obvious to someone titled "Head of Football Governance" when invited by you to provide comments:

@davidstache @robstaton Might it, perhaps, be that with the worst-performing football team in League history, there is justification for questioning the performance of the manager? Luton did better with a 30 point deduction. As did Reading. And Derby.

@robstaton It would be nice for you to scrutinise Wilder's performance at the Lane as much as you do Pedersen.

Sheffield Wednesday have won only one league game in 45 attempts. Even with everything that has happened, is that good enough? #SWFC Latest piece for the BBC Sport website… bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

@StarClaire01 The Star should be EMBARRASSED that they've allowed something so palpably, factually and provably nonsensical to be committed to print under their banner. Laughable journalistic standards I'm afraid.

@StarClaire01 3) It isn't "double jeopardy". They aren't being punished TWICE for the same failings. In fact this is THREE SEPARATE things: A) mandatory deduction for admin B) deduction for non-payment of salaries C) deduction for exiting admin without meeting the payment threshold

@StarClaire01 2) 2) It isn't "emergence" of another points deduction. That's been a known and DOCUMENTED sanction for failure to meet a payment threshold - in this case not paying back even 25% of the vast owings to other people and businesses.

@AlanBiggs1 Call me mad - but I'd far rather "not be fair" on the fans that were supporting the club that was rule breaking, and a promotion that was achieved with players fans cheered on, despite the club not being able to afford them.

@AlanBiggs1 Or, alternatively, the bidders (and by extension the club) could pay a reasonable proportion of what they owe to the people they owe it to.

@AlanBiggs1 And it will CERTAINLY not BE fair on the fans of every other League 1 club next season to have a club be able to wipe its debts clear when that option is not afforded to them.

@AlanBiggs1 BUT it is CERTAINLY not fair on the fans of Peterborough and Barnsley that they were knocked out of the playoffs by a team that was unaffordable and paid for on the hock.

@AlanBiggs1 Your continuing, "woe-is-us, it's not fair on the fans" narrative works both ways, in addition now now being well-worn and incredibly tiresome. It may not be fair (arguably; debatably) on the fans of SWFC to punish them further.

@AlanBiggs1 this only serves to show that you and the club and the prospective new owners have little regard for the net effect this could have on other businesses.
