An Amnesty UK spokeswoman told The Herald: "We regret that this briefing was uploaded to our website without going through the established internal review processes that are in place to ensure consistency, accuracy and alignment with Amnesty International UK's positions. Its use of language does not reflect the position of Amnesty International UK which is why it was promptly removed." 🤔

Lots of people assume the nutty Amnesty UK report was produced by a young intern. In fact it was written by Chiara Capraro, Gender Justice Programme Director at Amnesty International UK. She has been expressing these deranged views in writing and interviews for some time. But this latest “report”/“briefing” is so outrageous that it has for the first time provoked widespread condemnation and disgust.

Translation: oops, didn’t realise people outside our ideological bubble are THIS pissed off about the loss of sex-based rights. We remain implacably opposed to any organisation fighting to retain them, but shove in the words ‘rights of women’ to keep the bigots happy.

A lot of words have been written about what is happening with Amnesty but for those not following it closely, it can be summed up thus: If you believe that Lexi Secker below is a man, Amnesty will brand you as ‘anti-rights’.

I’m on a beach in Greece. It’s about 32 degrees. A man and a woman just came to swim. He’s in shorts and nothing else. She’s head to toe in black trousers and a sort of cape thing over a tunic. Her feet and hands are showing. “Modesty” my arse. It’s control and oppression of women. This means by default that he thinks the rest of us in our bikinis, as me and the missus are, are whores. Poor woman. I hope he swims badly and out of his depth.

I understand @JournalismSEEN has been denounced by @AmnestyUK as “anti-rights”. This is going to end very badly. I seriously hope some of my former editors will start asking Amnesty how they went from being a respected human rights charity to denunciations so quickly.

@hoylet20 @JeanHatchet It is the covering that gives these women freedom in many cases the chance to study to mix and to swim yes to swim but a culturally ignorant person such as yourself can only see it in one way ,it’s beyond your imagine I know but there’s a whole world of difference out there

@JeanHatchet Last year I saw a family on the beach in France. It was 35°C no shade. They had 2 kids. Dad went to swim with the boys. Mum dressed in black, fully covered stayed out and prepared food. She also looked after the kids all day, dad ate, swam and sunbathed.

Whistleblowers in the NHS and at gender clinics have been trying to raise the alarm for a decade. There is no excuse for continuing to pretend that extremely vulnerable children haven't been irreparably harmed.

My husband, a doctor, assures me that his daily visits to @damekatydenise_ are merely to administer her Ozempic injections (she has a phobia of small pricks.) Bet you weren’t expecting that heart-warming story.
