Why I hope to push folks out of scarcity mindsets & see the abundance This doesn't even reflect the extent of cc communities in general, just a fraction active on Twitter which is still vast! So no one should give up hope; increase community & life will put someone in your path
ThisIsNotUmnia@ThisIsNotUmnia

Ok but aside from the gorgeous pics everyone’s posting, the tweets are making me realise how many Cc singles there are of all stripes — we’re a lot less alone than we think we are!

The criticism of No Kings is really a criticism of whiteness. It’s not simply about organizing people into something better. It’s about confronting the reality that white America will never do what is needed to challenge racism & capitalism, that the necessary change will most likely be forced on America thru the collapse of white imperialism.
Dr. Mia Brett@QueenMab87

I am once again asking how it helps to just criticize No Kings without organizing something you think is better

if youre interested in hydroponics its cool as fuck, ive been doing it for years. Its cheap as dirt to start, you can do it with a cup or a jar or who gives a fuck whatever holds water. You can get one of these standard fucking yellow top storage containers (like 8-10$) drill out holes for net cups cups (like $8) put rock wool into the net cups (like $8 too) put a pump bubbler into the container to keep water oxygenated (like $15) and other than seeds and hydroponic plant food (like $10) you can find cheaper of these items to start too its fun af and you should try it : )

The Tongass is the worlds largest intact temperate rain forest IN THE WORLD, and a globally significant ecosystem as it serves as a major carbon sink, storing more biomass per acre than many tropical jungles. You don't hate this regime enough. #PublicLands

President Donald Trump wants to revoke a federal rule that could potentially open more than 9 million acres of the Tongass to logging, including about 2.5 million acres of productive old growth. #SaveTheTongass

More than 90 West Papuan tribes, political organisations and religious groups have endorsed the call for a boycott of (Nestlé and Mondelēz), which they say should continue until the people of West Papua are given the right to self-determination. business-humanrights.org/my/latest-news…

folks will be like “a better world is possible” then you ask them to wear a mask and they’re like “a better world is not possible”

And You should be masking for your homeless queer elders. When I asked her what she needed? Masks. She is tired of getting sick she is tired of being exposed all the time and vulnerable with no protection. She understands the value of masking and cant even get ahold of them
Conjure Creature 🔮@ConjureCreature

The reason we dont see queer elders is because most of them are homeless 💔 been trying to help an elderly disabled butch woman all day and the most we could get done is giving her some dry clothes and letting her sleep in my car :(

Growing Resilience Permaculture
If you start peas, lettuces, radishes, kales, chards, collards, and other cool weather crops today (for above ground crops, the Moon is in a wonderful position right now) , you'll be eating from your own garden in about 1 month (radishes are very fast), with greens and lettuces ready around April 25th, peas a little later. Crop choice and growth rate is location and conditions dependent. All are easy to grow, easy to prepare, and will quickly encourage the gardener that their time was well spent.
Growing Resilience Permaculture@ResilientGrower

If you start potatoes, winter squash, onions, carrots, beets, turnips, and cabbages today (I know, the moon isn't just right for root crops, but what are you gonna do?), you'll potentially have piles of storage crops in about 3-4 months. Sounds like a clever plan.

Wondering why things are the way they are? The answer is Covid. The only answer that explains it all. Unfortunately it’s also the only answer you won’t accept.
