@kato_michael @CheyCab Powell doesn’t control the tariff instability that has everybody afraid to hire. He’s the reason inflation isn’t in double digits right now.

@CheyCab Weird. It's federal reserves job to maintain employment numbers. Powell is basically saying the Fed has done a bad job. This is their fault after all. I'm glad this guy is retiring. He has fucked up way to much

Myth: If we tax billionaires they won't create jobs. Fact: Last year, billionaires got the largest tax break in history. Now, they are literally planning to replace every worker in America with a robot or AI. Trickle down economics is a scam. Tax billionaires out of existence.

I had a bride who inadvertently did some damage to my car this weekend and I’m a little puzzled by it. The bride and a big long puffy netting type dress. I suspect that it had been trailing in the elements of varying types of salt all day? And when she got in my car

The CEO of Palantir just said the quiet part out loud. Alex Karp — whose company builds surveillance and defense technology for the U.S. government — just openly stated that AI will deliberately shift economic power away from highly educated, often female, Democratic-leaning workers and toward vocationally trained, working-class, often male voters. He then admitted these technologies are — his word — “dangerous” and “suicidal,” and that the only justification for deploying them is the military argument: if we don’t, our adversaries will. So let’s be clear about what was just said on the record: A defense contractor CEO told you AI is being built to restructure the American class system, that it will destroy the economic power of an entire political demographic, and that the only way to sell it to the public is to wrap it in national security.

Just learned about the beautiful personal library of a German mining engineer called Bruno Schröder. His entire house was covered in custom shelves he built himself, housing his life’s work – a 70,000 book collection. Bruno died in 2022 at 88, while in the midst of digitally cataloguing his massive collection. Sadly, he had no relatives and the house, including the books, was handed to an estate manager and put up for sale. That’s when his story and these photos surfaced.

You got to give lots of credit to Eileen Gu for responding brilliantly back to the reporter with great confidence. She looked him in the eye said that was a "ridiculous perspective" without any hesitation or fear. 😁

@redsteeze Equal time is absolutely dumb in an era where we have hundreds of channels. It *may* have made sense when there were only three stations in every city.

@Sensible_Speak @Katagorically @Clontsey @ControlAI That’s the point! You don’t have to drive a car connected to AI or manufactured by AI! That’s not the only option in the market! There’s no significant evidence to show a car built by AI is cheaper anyways!

"It was ready to kill someone, wasn't it?" "Yes." Daisy McGregor, UK policy chief at Anthropic, a top AI company, says it's "massively concerning" that Anthropic's Claude AI has shown in testing that it's willing to blackmail and kill in order to avoid being shut down.

Looking at this dispassionately and on the evidence alone, the facts are stark. The man is holding a phone, not a weapon. He is not facing the officers and presents no immediate threat. He appears to be under control when he is shot in the back. On any objective reading, the legal threshold for the use of lethal force is not met at that moment. Intent may ultimately be a matter for a court, but justification is a matter of evidence. Based on what is visible, the use of deadly force is neither necessary nor proportionate. If the Trump administration and the department involved are so confident that this incident was something else, the answer is simple. Release all evidence to an independent investigator, allow a full and transparent analysis, and then let the matter be tested properly before a grand jury. Anything less invites the conclusion that the official account cannot withstand scrutiny.

🚨BREAKING: In Minneapolis, ICE agents are now illegally detaining children at gun point, who are U.S. citizens, and taking them, as they raid houses without warrants. In the video you see a man come out of the garage with his hands up. ICE agents are already surrounding the house with guns drawn. A woman inside has her hands up, terrified, begging them not to break into her home because her kids are in the house. Instead of de-escalating the situation, one agent with a shield and his gun pointed at the unarmed mother, enters her garage and yells, “Who is in the house?” She tells him, “My two [young] kids and son.” He orders her, with his gun pointed at her, to step out and bring her kids. He then aims his gun at the back of the garage, where the kids are walking, and she screams, “My kids! My kids are so young!” Agents grab her teenage son… a U.S. citizen… unarmed, in shorts and sandals, and put his hands behind his back while the younger children cry. She yells, “my son is a citizen!” but they don’t listen and walk away with him. Only later, after they realize they can’t arrest a teenager, do they bring him back. This is not immigration enforcement. Federal agents have no authority to surround homes, threaten families at gun point, or remove anyone… especially a child… without a warrant. And yet… this is happening all over Minneapolis.

Former Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel is expected to become the Chargers offensive coordinator barring a change of heart, per @JeffDarlington and me. McDaniel has informed other teams that they’re out, the Chargers clearly want him, and the two sides are having dinner tonight. But the expectation across the league is that McDaniel will be staying in LA.
