@FCHWPO Love ya, but what exactly are we talking about here, bruh? Lots of shit happening in front of our faces these days.

Totally agree on the off-arm--although Jokic is one of the prime practitioners as well. Basically everyone is allowed to do it now, and I think that the league really needs to look at using that as a battering ram this offseason.
HoopsHype@hoopshype
"If Shai's allowed to use his off arm, which he's very good at, you hope that they'll allow us to at least have some impact with his body. It goes both ways. The guy is so hard to guard regardless ... He is a foul artist." -- David Adelman

This is hilarious from #Jets RB Michael Carter 😂
Carter: “I’m probably like 5’8 or 5’9”
Reporter: “Would you be willing to find out right now”
Carter: “Nahhhhhhhh” 💀

@kpelton @benbbaldwin I’m confused what you mean by “the position it can’t happen.”
English

@Coach_Coyne @benbbaldwin Starting with the position it can't happen tends to be pretty self-fulfilling!
English

Running backs are being paid commensurate with their impact on what teams care about: winning games.
There's no change to the league pay structure, draft, etc that would change the fact that RBs just aren't very valuable. This is what the conversation needs to grapple with
Timo Riske@Timo_NFL
I mean it's not that the cap, the franchise tag and the rookie wage scale are constructs to specifically destroy RB pay. It's just that NFL teams don't value RBs highly right now. That wouldn't change in a free market situation.

@CoachDanCasey Could be anywhere, honestly. I’ve seen Hear Stroke in Maine on regular green field turf.
English

@CoachBDud @CoachDanCasey Right. Under the sun, hot turf is hot turf.
English

@CoachDanCasey A team out here had black turf for a decade. Played on it multiple times and never felt a noticeable difference.
English

Do the math. Why is everyone acting like this is brand new?
Y’all are 20 years late.

@Bling_Cake_ @kpelton @benbbaldwin It’s hard to use the word “analytics” for both football and basketball when they are so much more meaningful to the latter.
What can measured and inferred via analytics currently available to football is *incredibly* minute compared to basketball.
English

@kpelton @benbbaldwin I mentioned this yesterday, but most teams have been using models that minimize the financial value of the position for a very long time. The most forward-thinking front offices created those models. Imo, no rule change is poised to change that in the foreseeable future.
English

@benbbaldwin But there are potentially changes to the rules that could bring RBs closer to the value they have at lower levels and it would be nice if people yelling on their behalf spent that energy considering what might work there.

@harvet4me @ParkerEternal @FootbaIIism Like I said, the ball carrier has not even been taught proper stance.
Alignment ➡️ Assignment ➡️ Technique. This is why there are teaching progressions.
Trying to coach-up this drill for technique is like trying to go to therapy with a cactus.

@NFLRookieWatxh Minimization of RB salaries has been going on for 20 years. NFL personnel departments have long-used models that generally allocated less money to Running Backs.
English

Bijan Robinson will make $13,719,844 in total cash this season as a rookie, which is the most of any RB this year.
No RB is even within $1.5M of this grand total.
Josh Jacobs, who led the NFL in rushing last season will make over $3.5M less in total cash this season.
Derrick Henry, who has the most rushing yards of any current RB will make over $3.2M less in total cash this season.
Melvin Gordon said recently that he believes everyone "followed suit" after Sean McVay (Rams HC) said he would "never" pay a RB big money again.
The Falcons rookie RB hasn't even taken a snap yet, and is making more in total cash than any other RB 😳

@choonamii @beachboyrich1 🙇♂️ Tell you what, I often think about how I wish I had you with me later in my career.
I’m really happy you had the college experience and education that you did, but football-wise: man, that would’ve fun 🤩!
