Appreciate @CoachIngramECU for pouring into the DL community today!
Controlling the LOS with Interior Play: havoc creator, gold medal eyes, and the gritty details that separate good from great. A masterclass in developing IDLs to dominate inside.

I've been vocal against tackling drills that start on the knees. This one I like.
Why? The shin and body angles are exaclty what you're looking for. The prime ingredient for a great penetrating tackle with force.
Good starting point. The next step is learning to generate force into the ground.
That's where the rugby pads are valuable. You can actually strike something and feel what it takes to create force, with or without pads on.
Then add one more piece. Get that ONE extra cleat in the ground.
Excellent picture of the ideal body position for a strong tackle.

🏋️♂️ Introduced the Badgers to the world of Zercher today.
I am not sure that Zercher is not the best way to teach young athletes how to squat correctly.
When athletes lock a bar into the crooks of their elbows, magic happens. I rarely—if ever—see bad technique, poor depth, weak posture, or spotting issues (because you don’t) when doing Zercher work.
You are only limited by your imagination. Pretty much any lower-body movement you can think of can be adapted to a Zercher-style hold. lunges, good mornings, step-ups, carries—you name it, the Zercher hold makes it brutal and effective.
Huge shoutout to Ed Zercher for not having a squat rack back in the 1930s and forcing himself to get creative. Your lack of equipment created a great tool still being used today!
How do you use Zercher holds in your training? 👇
