President Trump is attempting to assert wartime powers without a congressional declaration of war. The Alien Enemies Act was last invoked in World War II as the legal authority for the shameful internment of noncitizens of Japanese, German, and Italian descent. Even though a federal judge issued an emergency and temporary halt to President Trump’s effort to seize powers only granted in war, he is not giving up this effort. This is not normal, and it’s not okay.

This ought to be the final time we change our clocks! Daylight Savings is a relic that disrupts our natural rhythms and serves no real purpose in the modern world. We need to end this for good! #MAHA
