When I first heard Johnny Cash did a cover of Hurt, I had my doubts. What I learned, is that powerful music means something a little different for all of us. Johnny's cover of hurt paired with this video...took my breath away. It was a whole new song. It no longer was about struggle to live.....it was about impending death at the END of of a long and full life I cry when his wife comes on youtube.com/watch?v=8AHCfZ…

Charles Barkley risked getting fired on CBS last night, calling out Trump for attacking immigrants: “The way some of these immigrants are getting treated in our country right now is a travesty and a disgrace. What we’re doing to some of these amazing immigrants is really unfortunate and really sad.”

This POS Khaliyal Elijah Burney, 23 killed an 8 year old girl Nyomi Summers, yesterday evening. He ran her over while she was riding her bicycle. He's been arrested and charged with Driving While License Revoked, No Liability Insurance, Failure to Register and Fictitious Registration. He was transferred into custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. This is not his first rodeo! He was arrested on the same charges last month and released by a Mecklenburg County liberal judge. He should not have been driving. Incarceration saves lives.

NEW: Student athlete left paralyzed after he was shot at a Waffle House while coming to his friend’s aid. 18-year-old Seth Jackson had reportedly tried helping his friend who was being attacked by a group of teens. When one of the teens pulled a gun out, Jackson started running but was then shot as he tried running away, his family says. The Richardson, Texas teen will never walk again. Charles Webster, 17, and Taylor Griffin, 18 were both charged with engaging in organized criminal activity. The shooter has not yet been caught. Jackson is a straight-A student, had two jobs and recently committed to the University of Houston. He suffered a ruptured lung and aorta, fractured ribs and a shattered spinal cord.

America is the richest, most powerful, and most generous country in the world. We are so superior to everyone else, and so charitable and kind and helpful, that unfortunately many of the lesser countries on the globe have become welfare queens who expect us to coddle, care for, fund, fight for and protect them. We are the parents who have taken good care of our children, but have not forced them to contribute enough, or earn their own keep, and now they are spoiled, ungrateful, and helpless. It’s time to cut the umbilical cord and force the rest of the countries to stand on their own two feet. We can’t do everything for everyone.

People have Thune all wrong. He's not a weak leader. He's not stupid. He is intentionally undermining the Trump presidency. It's not that he can't lead. He won't.

A drunk former fox news host refused to promote two Black and two female officers because a convicted felon and 5x draft dodger does not want to stand next to a Black woman at military events. Think about that for a second.

Minneapolis City Councilor Pearll Warren goes on an insanely UNHINGED rant complaining about being black and a victim of racism: “I wake up every day black. That’s something I have to deal with… I have to fight institutionalized racism on a day-to-day basis.” “Empty your pockets and strip your clothes off for the cotton my ancestors picked” “ICE is disgusting. But I’ve been ICE’ed my whole life.” “Thank you for being woke!”

Noncitizen voting is extraordinarily rare – in many audits, less than one hundreth of one percent of all votes cast. The SAVE Act is a total sham, cracking down on a problem that isn’t real.

I was on a Teams call yesterday with 5 people, and one was a female Commander (O5) from an Echelon 2 Command (4 Star). She spoke with a very noticeable vocal fry (low-frequency, creaky, or gravelly speech pattern) and it drove me absolutely NUTS that a Naval Officer would adopt that speech pattern. Yes, it's a choice; no you do NOT normally talk like that. Like it or not, if you speak with a vocal fry you're perceived as annoying, unprofessional, and lack authority, competence, or confidence. Those negative qualities are anathema to being a Naval Officer or in a leadership role anywhere. Stop it. Leave it for the 20-year old sorority sisters.

I followed my instinct to protect the weak." This is what a true Christian warrior looks like

Was struck again today that progressive women, especially (in my experience): 1. They actually do, nominally, want public order, and they do, nominally, want the government to "move along" the folks who are disturbing the public order. 2. But where their brain gets blocked is that they cannot support any muscular solution to the problem. Muscular solutions are supported by bad people, and they are good people. So, they really want to believe that education will solve the problem. We just need to tell this guy who is misbehaving in the public square everyday that his behavior is not OK, and he'll stop. Or, we need to offer these folks some kind of other support (like drug rehab)... but even then, you can't FORCE them into rehab, because that would be a muscular solution. So you want to tell them... OK, you want us to help the drug addict on the sidewalk, but you also want him to have an inviolable right to refuse all help. What do you think will probably happen? And they know, actually, what will probably happen, and when forced to think about it, it bothers them. But it doesn't bother them as much as supporting a muscular solution to the problem would bother them, because that's a thing bad people support.
