Ported the #C64 sprite handler to to #SegaGenesis / #MegaDrive, #Amiga 500 and #SNES. The SNES seems to be slower than expected. Maybe we can blame the C compiler's code generator, but I'm not so sure...

I was looking forward to Metroid Prime 4 but no way am I asking Santa for a game with acting & dialogue this shit 🤢🤮 Tonally clashes what Metroid is suppose to be. Unless Miles MacKenzie is killed off immediantly, this game will be worse than Other M.

@FrankAtHPP like even some surprising ones, like these crab guys, their claws are separate joints and it gets the animation from moving those around separately, I always just thought these were drawn this way

@FrankAtHPP fun fact not many people seem to notice: almost every single enemy in Super Metroid is multi-jointed! they're usually used for just playing back premade animations, so not quite the same effect as these tweened animations, but there's a couple that are realtime tweened too

@Mr_GoofAss @GabrielPyron a big limitation of the 32X is that if you want to use that higher color 32X layer, you don't get hardware sprites or tiles anymore, you have to software render everything. the 32X is fast, but moving around that many pixels with just the CPU at 60FPS is a tall order

@GabrielPyron I only say that because i figure the amount of colors available on the 32X would maybe make the process a LITTLE easier, and you wouldn't have to reduce the color count like i'm sure you had to do here.
