The #Dolphins will have over $165M in dead money on their 2026 salary cap this upcoming season. More than $165M of a $301.2M cap will be devoted to players no longer on the team. That includes Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Jalen Ramsey, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and several others.

since you started your account on aug 2021, you've tweeted 490,800 times. that's about 291 times per day, or roughly 18 tweets per hour (assuming you sleep for 8 hours), every day for almost five years. the reason why you don't see this america anymore is bc you don't go outside

Gordon Hayward says Bam Adebayo scoring 83 isn’t great for the league and doesn’t feel legitimate “I think Bam is one of the best two-way players in the league at his position, but he’s not a scorer, right? So for him to break Kobe’s record, I don’t think it’s great for the league. I think it kind of highlights how they’re already struggling. It kind of feels like a pickup game when you’re watching. And for him to shoot 43 free throws and 22 threes, when that’s not what he does, it almost feels like… and again, the Wizards too. With all these teams tanking, it kind of makes it feel not legit, I guess, is what I would say.” (Via @UnSportsESPN )

I know every hyper car manufacturer is watching Mat Armstrong’s Bugatti rebuild journey very closely 😭😭 If he gets it right, what will that mean for these manufacturers? There are many mechanics and auto shops far superior than Mat and his team who probably always felt like they could work on these high-end cars. Now they’ll know for a fact that they can. Can Bugatti still charge ridiculous prices for maintenance like $30K for an oil change? We already knew about manufacturers inflating prices for services and parts but many of us didn’t think it was a norm for high-end car manufacturers as well. Many people assumed that the high costs match the price tags of those vehicles so no one really questioned them. I think we’re watching history being made with this build and it might just have a massive impact on the motoring industry.

I'm surprised anyone disagrees with this. The growth of my social media account and root of my legitimacy is purely in the fact that I know how the ruling classes in Britain, Italy, and the United States dressed during the 20th century. When Vivek Ramaswamy and Pete Hegseth wear tan shoes with navy suits, I can say "this looks like shit to most people because it's not how King Charles and Gianni Agenlli would have dressed." When Kash Patel puts contrast buttonholes on his suits, I can say it's wrong because the ruling classes across these countries during that period would have never chosen such a thing. You read this as legitimate purely because you accept the legitimacy of these classes in forming our sense of aesthetics. Someone who has no interest in these classes — such as Paul Harden and Yohji Yamamoto — rightly disregards all of these notions and makes tailoring according to different rules. The polo shirt is no different. The spread of the polo shirt is a story about how a pullover garment migrated from the polo fields played by British imperialists to tennis legends in France and eventually to the golfing middle classes in the United States. This is entirely a story about race, class, and gender. Football jerseys and basketball shorts don't enjoy such history, and thus they are not seen as legitimate business clothes. The difference between me and other menswear writers is that: 1) I make this history and dynamic transparent and 2) I don't think the white upper class are the sole source for cultural legitimacy. There are many legitimate aesthetics that have nothing to do with this class, such as biker gear, workwear, punk and rap aesthetics, etc. I just think it's weird to shit on contemporary women's athleisure while wearing a polo shirt, one of the original pieces of athleisure, albeit primarily worn by upper class white men.

interesting to me that polo shirts are rooted in sport (polo, tennis, and golf) but seen are more respectable and even quasi-business attire simply bc upper class white men played these sports. football jerseys, basketball shorts, and women's athleisure are seen differently
Gad Saad@GadSaad

Why do women no longer wear any real clothes and instead are always in athleisure? It’s grotesque. Every single woman at the cafe is dressed in this manner.

Here is a breakdown of what these sentences mean for those not in the know. Sentence 1 Analysis: > "Clavicular was mid jestergooning when a group of Foids came and spiked his Cortisol levels 😭" *Clavicular: Nickname for streamer Braden Peters, is a reference to "clavicle lengthening/widening" (a niche obsession in body dysmorphia communities regarding shoulder width). *Jestergooning: A portmanteau of two terms: * Jestermaxxing: Acting like a clown or fool to get attention or cope with social rejection. * Gooning: Originally referred to a trance-like state induced by porn addiction, but in this context, it generally means staring blankly or engaging in obsessive, low-IQ behavior. *Foids: A derogatory "incel" (involuntary celibate) term for women, short for "Femoids" (Female Humanoids). *Spiked his Cortisol levels: "Cortisol" is the stress hormone. This means the women made him extremely stressed, anxious, or panicked. Translation: "This guy (Clavicular) was in the middle of acting like an idiot/zoning out when a group of women arrived and made him panic." Sentence 2 Analysis > "Is Ignoring the Foids while munting and mogging Moids more useful then SMV chadfishing in the club?" *Munting: While originally a grotesque term from shock sites, in "looksmaxxing" slang, it is sometimes used (often ironically) to describe an extreme or ugly form of "Mewing" (tongue posture exercises to improve jawline). It implies focusing intensely on one's face/aesthetics. *Mogging: Derives from "AMOG" (Alpha Male Of the Group). It means physically dominating someone else or looking much better than them. *Moids: A derogatory term for men (Male Humanoid), often used as a counterpart to "Foid." *SMV: Acronym for Sexual Market Value. A pseudo-sociological metric used in these communities to rank how "valuable" a person is to the opposite sex. *Chadfishing: A combination of "Chad" (the archetypal attractive male) and "Catfishing." It means creating a fake dating profile using photos of a male model to see how women react or to waste their time. Translation: "Is it better to ignore women and focus on making other men look inferior (through looks or status), or is it better to go to a club and try to trick people into thinking you have high sexual value?" Summary: The text asks a philosophical question within this specific internet subculture: Is self-improvement and dominance over other men (homosocial competition) more fulfilling than seeking validation from women through deception?

Woke this morning thinking this is gonna be a much different #Patriots Super Bowl pursuit than what e’ryone is used to seeing. The first win in ‘01 was a surprise, a whirlwind, new territory. The rest in the dynasty pile largely chasing expectations for more. But this one, it’s house money. Shouldn’t be any external pressure, no demand to win or some other narrative domino falls or something. It’s just incredibly pleasing to see this [largely] new group of people get to do this for themselves…while repping the same logo & region. Now, don’t misinterpret what I’m saying or be gullible about the people involved. They are psychos—the good kind. Getting there isn’t enough. The unique circumstances won’t make them any less focussed or famished when it’s time to work & then later eat on gameday. I just think as a fan you get to enjoy this one a lil’ bit more fully than the others. Take it all in. Crow a lil’ if ya like. They’re having fun. You’re having fun. It’s not some backhanded “just happy to be here” thing…it’s uh-oh, we’re here, and we’re free. And we’re gonna be a problem.

If Mahomes plays for 10 more seasons he’d need Regular season 5300 yards per season (he’s never done that) 39.6 TDs per season (he’s only had 39+ twice in his career) 15.6 wins per season (he’s only own 15 games once in his career) 4 SB wins 5 SB appearances I don’t even want to embarrass you with what’s he’s need in the playoffs to match him
