People assume these will be displayed on the timeline and I’m not sure why. I figure it’ll either be twitlonger-style or “read more” style, not just long 4,000 word tweets in between normal ones. They’ll be their own thing. At least that’s my assumption.

@Suhail Agreed. Also the lasting effect of how it’s improved your life. There are some things I don’t use very often but that provide significant utility in certain situations (eg an appliance or tool)

I think a good litmus test for a fad or sustaining technological trend is if you can answer "how has this substantially changed my life?" Where the answer is not the kind of thing that improves things for a few seconds a few times a week.
