A good rule of thumb is if you think "this is so easy how didn't they think if this" they usually did.

@aryafpl @LeoMars75 @ShayWoulahan If you give your house away this is true - but if you "give your house away" and then continue to live in it as before without paying rent then HMRC knows you haven't actually given it away. They call this a gift with reservation of benefit (you reserved the right to live there)

@LeoMars75 @ShayWoulahan Are they still living in their house? Are they paying you a fair market rent and you paying tax on that rent? If no they this doesn't remove it from their estate - and it's not a loophole, it's just a gift with reservation of benefit.

Not just a great game, great personal impact :)

Although male, I prefer wrapping towels around myself from my chest after washing. 2 reasons; 1- it keeps me much more cosy warm, and 2- it helps dry the nether regions better due to increased air flow. Very hard to remember to go back to the usual manly way when in public though

If you’re dumb enough to fall for a nude phishing scam, you shouldn’t be in parliament.

@OzKaterji There are quite a few smart, lonely people out there who had stuff like this ruin their lives (personal finance subs see them quite a bit, dealing with debt etc) I don't think it's fair to dismiss them all as dumb and unfit for office

@OzKaterji To be clear, yes you are clearly right - this nude phishing scam clearly was pretty obvious, and falling for it's dumb I'm saying I don't think you can generalize from this to all such scams, some are complex and require vigilance (or happy marrage) not just lack of being dumb
