It's unclear whether or not Zendaya is literally playing Athena. Ellen Page is literally playing "the greatest warrior" that Odysseus has ever known. Which is objectively absurd regardless of what the character is called. But these are not the least of the film's problems. Stop shilling.

I used to be in the film distribution business. Gross revenue keeps growing because movies are more expensive to get into. These films are mostly sequels or ones that live off of tried and true IP. There’s literally no new stories being told, and old nyths are being sacrificed on the altar of wokeness. Push the woke narrative out of the way and tell new stories that resonate. That’s how Hollywood gets its mojo back.

The reason why they are pushing Nolan’s Odyssey so hard is that Hollywood desperately needs a “win” Everyone knows that they are dying and looking for a way to get back on top. Dispense with the woke madness and tell great stories again. But they’ll never do that.

Its peculiar that Blade, a black character, was announced in 2019, and there still hasnt been any oficial or clear statement for why the movie never happened. But the white guy Ghost Rider was announced with a release date and a director, with a lot of excitement about it. Thats very peculiar.
