@BrettErickson28 Yes and Trump will not get the same MoU deal again. Next time the deal will be worse and he will be required to pay upfront to get the Iranians back to the negotiation table. Losers never dictate the final peace agreement. And Trump is losing.

I think that Trump is realizing very quickly that the only reason oil markets were down is because of the MOU. If there is a severe escalation, we will see the oil markets rip like never before. Trump simply does not have the runway to accomplish any objectives. Iran isn't about to roll over due to pressure for two more weeks.

This is incredibly damning information.
Scott McMahan@BiggerTruth

MINDBLOWING update on Mike Flynn's "chief of staff" Vic Mellor's registration as an agent for communist Cuba. He filed a 9 page "informational materials" attachment to his filing, which is a high-level training manual for a longterm US social media campaign on behalf of the communist state. It lays out a longterm strategy to win hearts and minds for communist Cuba. It's useful to help identify these tactics when they are used against us. I recommend you read the screenshots. I found it very informative. Here are some highlights: It instructs which terms to avoid and to use instead: "Do not use 'regime,' 'dictator,' 'failed state.' Choose our own words: 'leadership,' 'the next generation,' 'the Cuban people.'" It instructs the operative to "return every reply to a specific person. The woman in Holguin. The boy in Santiago. The grandmother in Pinar del Rio. The hardliner can argue with us. They cannot argue with her." It demands operatives be only respectful and to win hearts and minds with kindness: "Never attack... never use sarcasm... never claim moral superiority. The Golden Rule says we offer respect, not righteousness." This manual clearly does not describe a short term engagement. "This is not a strategy in the sense of a campaign that ends. It is identiy. It is who CubanConversation is, in every reply, every day, forever." @VicMellorForRI you claim you went to Cuba because "Cuba is about to open up, 100%." And you claim that, thanks to you and your relationship with the Castro dictatorship family, Rhode Island will become a trading partner with Cuba. But according to the information in your own filing, you have committed to a "every reply, every day, forever" sharing of pro-communist Cuba narrative framing. How do you square this with a vow to protect and defend our Constitution if you are elected to Congress?

@najam_ali Iran's oil wells will go out of service muc before that and some of them can never be restarted. US is the biggest producer of oil and in no haste to replenish strategic reserves even if they run out. US can inflict direct pain but not vice versa.

The endurance test now has numbers. Iran reportedly exported over 80 million barrels during the MoU period, earning about $6 billion while replenishing critical supplies. With strict rationing and continued limited regional trade, it may withstand roughly 3–6 months before severe economic stress sets in. The U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve is now around 320 million barrels and has been declining at roughly 1 million barrels a day. At that pace, it reaches the politically and legally sensitive 250-million-barrel level in about 70 days. Beyond that point, further drawdowns become far more difficult and would likely require the President to declare a formal energy supply emergency and authorize an emergency release. Who will blink first?

When Donald Trump’s plane touched down in Turkey, Iran could have sent a brutal message and destroy it. It chose not to. Not because it lacked options, but because eliminating the man who must negotiate would leave no one useful on the other side of the table. Tehran observed the week of mourning, allowed Trump to arrive safely at the NATO summit, and kept diplomacy alive. That was not fear. It was discipline, and a reminder that restraint can be more strategic than revenge.

US plan in Iran is something like this: 1. Strike deal. We’ll leave the funeral alone you allow a few ships to trickle out of the Strait. 2. Hammer energy prices through media-algo manipulation and SPR dumps. 3. Pray it puts a little pressure on pump prices before November. 🎲

We got a new stablecoin in town, launched collaboratively by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, BlackRock, Google, Samsung, IBM, Coinbase and hundreds of other publicly listed multi billion dollar companies. I usually don't take any new stablecoin competitors seriously, but apart from this very powerful syndicate, they will charge zero fees and give back almost all of the yield to their partners. Will this be the first real challenger to shake up the Tether and Circle duopoly?

@Crypto__T @btcjvs @saylor You still need to give up your custody. You don’t own any of Bitcoin with ETFs. You own a claim of them. The issuers custody the Bitcoin. There is literally no way you could have Bitcoin yield without giving up the custody. Bitcoin like gold is a bearer asset, hence no yield.

The best thing that @saylor can do now is nothing and stick to his guidance, let his stocks trade freely. No BTC purchases. He can now ride out the entirety of the bear market. The next best thing, he should do, is look to generate yield off his bitcoin and do it without leaving their custody, increase revenues where possible.

@btc_jefferson @btcjvs @saylor He can redeem some btc for IBIT and then sell 5-10 delta covered calls with a few weeks duration. Even if he gets called on a few IBIT shares, all his other bitcoin must have gone up too. So it's a low risk play and generating some revenues.

@btcjvs @saylor The best thing he could do for Bitcoin now is sell all his Bitcoin and buy back all his shitcoins. Speaking of yield, there is no yield if you don’t give up custody. He could set up Lightning channels and have 3-5% yield. But he won’t do it bc he loves shitcoins.

The primary concern that I see as it relates to the joint lifting of blockades between the United States and Iran is the disproportionate degree to which it can benefit Iran IF they intend to play this "dishonestly". Per the estimations of TankerTrackers four days ago, Iran had already exported ~40M barrels outside of the prior US blockade line since the MOU between the United States and Iran was signed. By now, that figure is almost certainly >50M barrels in 14 days. A rate of ~3.5M barrels per day being exported. Iran's "normal" rate of export for context is ~1.7M/day. Therefore Iran is exporting roughly double that amount they normally do since the MOU was signed. But this isn't a terminal capability. For one, it is unclear how many available buyers there are for Iran outside of China for Iranian oil. There has been indications that Pakistan may have interest, but India is largely stocked up. Perhaps Japan? But there is only "so much" that can be exported during this 60 day window where it disproportionately favors Iran. Tehran likely still has ~55M barrels in onshore oil storage that can be exported, and assuming they continue to do so at a rate of ~3.5Mbpd, that carries them favorably for ~16 more days. After that, it not longer is advantageous for Iran to keep the blockades lifted. What happens then? What happens if, by July 15th, the United States still hasn't released any of Iran's frozen assets? What is Iran's incentive to continue with the joint lifting of blockades? At that point, it would almost certainly be strategically advantageous for Iran to re-close the Strait and return back to the status quo pre-MOU, but now with ~105M-120M barrels outside of the reach of the U.S. blockade. No matter how I look at this, I just don't see how the United States will be able to turn the table on Iran here...
