i just saw a reel about how women compliment absolutely anything they like about other women, yet men rarely get compliments from anyone, and isn't that so sad. The next day, i told a man that i thought his outfit looked really cool, and he followed me for the next 30 minutes until i approached a cop in the street. @nickimoraa Consider maybe he is used to dating women who eat like birds - order food and don't even eat it all - & seeing someone actually eat was refreshing. I remember a coworker telling me he knew his wife was for him when she ate a hotdog that had been in his pocket to shield from rain.

I ordered an appetizer on a first date and this man looked concerned. Concerned. Like I had announced I was liquidating my retirement account. He said, “Wow, you must’ve been really hungry.” I said, “Yes? That’s usually why people eat.” The appetizer came and every single time I picked something up, he made a comment. “You really like fries, huh?” “You eat fast.” “You’ve got a healthy appetite.” At that point I couldn’t even enjoy the food because apparently I was being narrated like a wildlife documentary. Then his meal arrived and suddenly Mr. Portion Control inhaled an entire burger in four minutes. No comments for him though. Interesting how women ordering food becomes a personality flaw but men eating like competitive athletes is somehow adorable. Anyway, he texted me after saying, “I love a girl who can eat.” Sir, based on your commentary all night, that is not the vibe I received.

@DecatHazel @nickimoraa I think it may have been the opposite. I think that he genuinely was grossed out and judgemental during the date. Then after the date he likely realized he was being an ass who no one wants to keep dating and that's his way of recovering from his behavior.

Not trying to be mean, trying to wake the poster up. Our first reactions to things with gravity like this should not be to post about it on social media. It should be to get it on record ASAP to minimize the likelihood that animal can ever do this to another person. They can't get investigated or prosecuted if they aren't reported.

I told my boyfriend I just started my period when he asked 'can we?' and he literally wouldn’t take no for an answer. I went out with this guy who asked me to get drinks, and I told him upfront I don’t drink but I’d still meet him at the restaurant. He said that was fine, so I showed up thinking it would just be a chill vibe. I ordered a mocktail and some guacamole, nothing crazy, just something small to snack on while we talked. He looked at the order and immediately said, “I didn’t mean apps too. I just meant drinks.” I just sat there for a second, processing what he actually said to me. It wasn’t even about the food. It was the way he said it, like I had overstepped or done something wrong by ordering something basic. I didn’t argue or try to explain myself. I just called the server back, canceled my order, grabbed my bag, and left. I’m not about to sit across from someone who’s already counting what I can and can’t have like that. The whole thing lasted maybe ten minutes.

@The_One1001 @wynrosei Its not right, which is why we should fight against it, but in the meantime, fighting against tips culture isnt enough to ensure people can live in the meantime. For instance, if this worker works a large table of 6, it is going to take more time and energy than a table for 2.
