The people with whom I’ll be discussing the rain over the next week or so: 1. Family members Including frequently asking family members in other parts of the country “is it raining where you are?” 2. Colleagues Being especially sure to ask “still raining?” when a colleague appears next to me absolutely drenched. It will also be the main topic of small talk to begin every video call 3. My neighbour We shall roll our eyes, tut and say “lovely weather haha!”, both glad to have an excuse to dash inside our respective houses without looking rude 4. The supermarket checkout assistant They will ask me if it’s still raining out there and I will say “yes, it’s terrible, isn’t it?” 5. Social media I will describe the weather and someone on social media will get upset because the weather where I am isn’t exactly the same as where they are 6. The cat/dog I will say “oh you’re soaked!” and they won’t understand me 7. Myself I will stand and stare out of the window, hand on hip, other hand holding a mug, and occasionally mutter “really coming down now”

A huge thank you to all the staff at @dustonschool who have supported our son Jamie for the past 7 years, culminating in his fantastic A level results today. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication - you are all amazing!

Seen on FB, This weekend at @lochlomondshore this wee brave girl did her dance and I am here for all her achievements - she fell down and got up again so quickly and carried on. A life lesson for us all, I don’t know her name so I can’t credit her in the Lomond Shores video ❤️❤️

@YorkshireTea Sounds like you need a group of indomitable heroes to mount a daring rescue. The kind of people who face down danger on a dialy basis without fear or hesitation and can still manage a smile at the end of a day. Can I suggest recruiting from any NHS hospital or ambulance depot

I’m thinking it’s not ok for teenage son to leave his bed like this in the morning. Husband says he never made his bed at that age (or indeed any age). Hmm 🤔

@NevilleGaunt @rachelburden @YP2Grow Brilliant video and one I will be sharing with my 17 year old this evening - shame I didn’t have it in time for his older siblings but better late than never! 😂

@bowelcancerman @UnsungheroMark The truth is not even terminally ill people know when they’re going to die. My friend died 6 months to the day following diagnosis and was actually expected to survive longer. What you actually need is money in the early days when you’re well enough to enjoy it.
