@GioDev8 @taylorotwell This, but hate when people uses AI all the time so I need to review their code, is all very noticeable when you just copy and paste from. Then the problem of being blamed for your slowness cause you're doing the hard work of architecting. TL;DR AI is good but not for everything

My two cents: I don't think AI will directly lead to companies cutting engineering teams because of "AI". What seems more likely is a shift in expectations. If you were closing X number of tickets before, now you're expected to do significantly more. If you don't keep up with that new pace, there is a real risk of being let go and replaced by someone who can. As harsh as that may sound, I feel like that is where it is headed. Just need to adapt and use the tools to your advantage.

How many people do you personally know that were let go from their job for the explicit reason that they were being "replaced with AI"?

@taylorotwell You never stop, as saif even outside of the main framework repo. Great work! 💪

A developer or company can send a pull request to the Laravel framework and have confidence I personally will see it within 24 hours. Since 2011, I still review and action every single PR to the framework and ~90% of the first-party packages. 💪

@ianlandsman For me this was the thing until I really needed a local first app for a company who need to go outside on places where internet access is randomly dropped. But yeah, so much pain on the building process 😓
