Here's what the fake V8 engine/revving noises sound like in the new all-electric Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door Coupe.
Mercedes says the car makes “exhaust burbles and pops" like a gas car.

Mercedes has just officially unveiled the production version of its all-electric AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. • Range: ~315 miles (EPA) • 1,153 hp • 0-60 mph: 2.0s • Peak charging speed: 600kW • 106 kWh battery • 10-80% state of charge as low as 11 mins. Can add 244 miles of range in 10 mins. • Formula 1-based 800-volt battery • Fake V8 engine noises & gear shift sounds (shown below) • Mercedes said it’s using 1,600 audio files to “sonically interpret” different driving situations. The car makes “exhaust burbles and pops" like as gas car. • Axial-flux motors (a first). Runs parallel to the motor’s axis of rotation. In a conventional electric motor, it runs perpendicular to the axis. The front axial flux motor reaches more than 15,000 rpm at top speed. • 2660 cylindrical cells stacked vertically, arrayed in 18 modules, nine to a side. Nickel-cobalt-manganese-aluminum chemistry. Energy density of 298 Wh/kg. • Active aerodynamics • Top speed: 186-mph • Double sunroof with illuminated AMG logos over both driver and passenger seats • Triple-screen layout. 10.2" digital instrument cluster alongside a pair of 14" screens. Infotainment display is slightly tilted toward the driver. • Optional 5 seat layout U.S. deliveries start in late 2026. Pricing will be announced later, but it's expected to be well over $100,000. The jury in the Elon Musk vs OpenAI trial has found Sam Altman, co-founder Greg Brockman and OpenAI not liable on all claims because they said Elon Musk waited too long to bring his lawsuit.
The jury said that Elon's claims were filed outside of the statute of limitations, deciding that he had three years to sue and he did not file on time.
After the advisory jury found Altman and OpenAI not liable, the court, led by U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, agreed with the determination. The case has been thrown out. nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news…

@MobofJoggers My biggest problem with the scoring is the fake driver warnings. Every week you could be driving down a street and a park car will set it off. And UP your insurance premium goes.

This allows you to maintain a higher average safety score over time, resulting in lower monthly insurance premiums.

@teslavangelist My plug only (not charger was $250) but this was years ago and right next to electrical box. Cheapest quote I’ve seen lately is $350-450 just for - plug

has anyone had an electrician install a 240v charger for less than $500?
mine cost maybe $1500 I think to install, although for mine I needed like 30' of copper cabling which was like $500 or so itself.

Many people are scared to get a Tesla because they think they need to spend $5000 or more to install a charger at home. No you don't. I charge my Tesla using a regular 240v outlet in my garage. Same outlet as a dryer. Your local electrician can install one for under $500. Your new Tesla already comes with a mobile connector that plugs right into it. If you want a Tesla Wall Connector, that's $450 and about $500 to install. Get home, plug it in, and by the time you finish making dinner it's fully charged. Charging at home can cost you under $3 a day. No more spending $60 a week on gas. The savings of driving an EV are HUGE and it starts on day one. What's stopping you from making the switch?

Ford CEO in new interview:
“We'll have an all-electric, affordable vehicle to compete with Model Y and Model 3. I think there's nothing else like it on the market. We started a skunkworks team 4 years ago. They were basically Formula 1 and Tesla people. That vehicle is radically different. I'm really excited to show everyone maybe late this year or (early) next year. It will be coming out next year.”

This Reply to Elon saying he’s unhappy got me thinking…. Money 💵 💰💴 buys things- things DON’T make us happy (transient dopamine rushes)– if happy before rich you’ll be mildly happier- BUT if un-content, unsatisfied or unfulfilled before— some problems will be gone (& others will come)! You’ll still essentially be unhappy (or unfulfilled) @elonmusk (and everyone) hoping you find and lean into what makes you happy!
