बीएमसीकडून मासे कापण्यास बंदी हा काही एकटा प्रकार नाही, यामागे घटनांची पूर्ण साखळी आहे. ससून डॉकवरून कोळी बांधवांना हटवले, रस्त्यावरील मासे विक्रीचे ठेले कमी होत चालले आणि आता हे. हा फक्त खाण्याचा प्रश्न नाही आहे मराठी माणसाच्या हातातील व्यवसाय धंदे पद्धतशीरपणे संपवले जात आहेत. बीएमसी आता Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation राहिली नसून कबुतरांचा सोसायटीची Building Maintenance Committee झाली आहे.
