The Red Sox offense stinks, but the guys who most of us targeted this past offseason (or we wished were still here) — Isaac Parades, Alex Bregman, Rafael Devers and Pete Alonso — are hitting a combined .231 with a .677 OPS to start the year. Screwed no matter what.

@HackswithHaggs Why people flock to these games is the reason the Bruins continue to put a bad product on the ice. Poor attendance will send a message to ownership to make the changes needed.

All that’s left is handshakes. Bruins are 3-11 in their last 14 home playoff games. They definitely lost to a better Sabres team & overachieved this year, but the lack of quality play on home ice in the postseason is tough to overlook

At this point I would trade Pastrnak. You are not winning a Stanley Cup with him, he is very good, not elite. You could get a great return for him and build a decent roster. Also the man on man defense that Sturm has tried to institute,not working. Need more structure #nhlbruins

My boss's boss is like 42, never married, no kids. Earns $275-300K per year. Goes on a minimum of two international vacations a year w/ his girlfriend. 10+ days, all out. Eats the best food, stays in top notch accomodations. Excursions, tours, nicest beaches, etc. Great guy, I'm happy for him. But what I've realized is that without kids, you end up chasing a lifestyle that has to continually be topped in order for you to be satisfied and find happiness. What he and others like him don't understand is that when you have children, seeing THEM experience life's most basic things and watching their eyes light up at all the "firsts", brings greater pleasure and joy than any vacation or travel experience ever could. Seeing THEM try blueberries for the first time is greater than dining at the best 5 star restaurant in Europe. Seeing THEM learn how to walk is greater than walking the Great Wall of China or strolling along the most picturesque beach. Watching THEM giggle uncontrollably at "peek-a-boo" tops any A-list comedian act. Seeing THEIR excitement when building a fort out of cardboard boxes and making a door big enough for daddy is superior to staying at 5-star resorts. Flying kites with THEM far outweighs excursions like parasailing or helicopter rides. Seeing THEM perform a recital on stage for the first time is more rewarding than watching a Broadway show or top notch symphony orchestra. ----------------- When you have children, all of a sudden you realize that life's greatest joys are not in the pursuit of things or pleasure or travel, but rather in the LOVE and bond you share with your very own image bearers. Seeing the beauty and magnificence and wonder of life all over again for the first time through THEIR eyes and expressions gives you something the world simply cannot offer, nor even come close.

@MattGross87 A bunch of very solid baseball players and no studs. Nobody to be afraid of every time they come up to bat… sad times. Wonder if the impending lockout is why ownership refuses to spend or if they just don’t care anymore.

The problem with posts like this is they don't identify who should be sitting each day. With normal roster constriction, Duran, Abreu, Anthony, Rafaela and Yoshida would all be playing, so the real discussion here is who should be sitting (or traded).

This is truly a horrendous offensive lineup. Craig Breslow has done a horrific job with this roster. Pete Fatse has done a horrific job with these hitters. Something has to change.

@DJoseph087 Roman has an .848 OPS when leading off between 2025-26. I'm fine discussing lineup changes but to say it's clear he's not comfortable in that spot is a weird take. Got on base four times today too.

Jarren Duran got PH for by IKF—a hitter so bad that the team would rather him bunt than swing with two strikes. And not many people disagree with any of it. Not trading Duran after 2024 (or 2025) was such a mistake. What a colossal miss by the Red Sox FO.
